Can anybody tell me why The APA doesn't get a bigger push .
I mean my God , Tazz and Spike as World Tag Team Champions when you have these two awsome talents on the roster. WTF ?!!
But seriously, the APA is getting lame IMO. They were alright back when they did the bodyguard thing, but recently their matches have begun to be a bore.
I have to admit their not the greatest in the ring , but it was the stiffness of their matches and their comic relief that I always liked . And besides they've been an ACTUAL tag team for quiet some time and not the randomly generated bullshit we've been getting .
But they were randomly generated at one point in time... remember when The Jackyl was their manager? The New Age Outlaws were "randomly generated" and look at how over they got? Who really cares if a team is randomly generated, as long as they can entertain, i'm down with that.
As for the APA. I really don't care for them in the ring, save for a few of their moves. The clothesline from hell, Faarooq's one handed spinebuster come to mind. But other than that, they are pretty boring. Also, I think some of their lack of actual wrestling as a team was because Faarroq was injured for awhile.
And how do you spell Farrooq's name? Is it two a's and two o's? Or two r's and two o's? Or two a's and two r's??
Even if you didn't trust CRZ's spelling (and why wouldn't you? The man has been spelling wrestlers' names for YEARS), you could always look it up on WWF.com. In fact, I'll do it for you... hang on...
Faarooq is how they spell it.
Mind you, they had no idea how to spell Mideon either. I remember it was one of those things that CRZ really hated for a while.
The APA are pretty boring compared to what people think of as some of the great tag-teams of the past few years. The Hardyz, the Dudleyz, Edge and Christian, Benoit and Jericho, all of them are frankly more fun to watch.
Besides, Bradshaw's got a craptastic finisher. The Clothesline from Hell? WTF? So it's just a power clothesline. So what?
The APA are good if you let them just destroy people. They can't hold the belts cause they would have to wrestle too many high profile teams that don't want to get killed. They should just let them destroy all those ECW masochist that they aren't using anyway.
Fdoubleardoubleoq is always hurt and is near retirement, so the Fed can't push them to hard, I believe. This is why Bradshaw has shown signs of a singles push, although it has died down lately.

Well that makes perfectly good sense , so I guess that answers my question , but then how do you explain DDP ?
"Can anybody tell me why The APA doesn't get a bigger push. I mean my God , Tazz and Spike as World Tag Team Champions when you have these two awsome talents on the roster. WTF ?!!"
... While I tend to agree that Tazz/Spike as Champions leaves me thinking along the lines of, "That's the BEST you can come up with??", the APA isn't the solution for three reasons:
1. They're plodding in the ring.
2. From the moment they walk down the ramp, they're losing heat until the Clothesline From Hell and the inevitable pin. (This has been pointed out earlier in the thread.)
3. Most importantly, the nature of their gimmick is anti-Championship. They're independent ass-kickers who don't answer to anyone, and the belts won't make them any more over than they are now.
I personally enjoy the Booker T/Test combo, and I think they're the best candidates for the titles at this time. They're both extremely talented, they have enough size to look credible against anyone they're opposing, and they're pretty damn entertaining. If T&T can develop a double-team finisher, I don't see any pairing that comes close. Come to think of it, would it kill the APA to come up with a double-team finisher after all the time they've been together??
As far as what the WWF is thinking (assuming they ARE thinking at all), I think the belts are going to be given to the Gunn/Palumbo team. It's a bad idea to me because Gunn is still terrible in the ring, and Palumbo is pretty green. The ass pirate gimmick is not original, and will lead to an early dead-end. Why put the belts on a team whose gimmick isn't lasting and whose ring work is poor? Beats me.
"WHAT? You were gonna say somethin'. WHAT?" "WHAT? Son of a what?" "WHAT? It smells like crap out here! You're fulla what? He's fulla what? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? WHAT? You're a jackass!"
I'm not easily confused with a Test fan, but I think the TNT combo is fairly good, yeah. And I can see them leaving No Way Out as the WWF/WCW World Tag Team Champions.
I'm just waiting for Test to call someone a fruit booty. Then we'll know he's been hanging around Booker and his family a little bit too long.
Hey, fruit booty might end up being Test's new catchphrase! YEAH! Imagine Fruit Booty T-shirts.
I'm sure it'd be overused for the feud between TNT and the New West Hollywood Blonde wanna-bes, though. But if the word What? can get over as much as it has, there's hope for anything.
Eventually, though (barring an Outsiders take-over of the tag division which I'm almost praying for), Chuckabilly will get the belts. Going right back to the two big stiffs as champions angle.
Meanwhile, the reason I think they're not getting the big push right now (in addition to all the good reasons listed above) is because they've already gotten the push. Other than cases of a wrestler being repackaged (returning after a long absence, breaging up with a tag partner, starting a new tag-team, etc), the fed usually doesnt push someone TWICE.
Well, now that Batista made his return, we figure he'll pretty much defeat Mark Henry at Great American Bash. But after that, I'd like to know what the rest of you think WWE should do with Batista at this point?
