If there is one thing that I do not understand, it is the scattered references to the emminent "End of the Brand Extension." People talk like it is a foregone conclusion that the WWE will remerge into one show. You know, I (hope!) that the brand extention never ends! I mean, there is no reason that we need to see 2 hours of the same crap each week. It was way too much before,- there was so much wasted show. I do not need to see HHH on 2 shows. I LIKE that there are a lot more guys considered to be "upper tier" right now. And if this goes on for a while longer, I really will be excited to see an Eddy/HHH or a Kane/Benoit or a Jericho/Mysterio! Honestly, it makes no sense to me. The shows get better on their own each week as they slowly pull farther and farther apart. Good! The "Brand extension" rocks, even if the writing sucks!
Craig Reade "Pool Boy"Detroit Lions! 1-3! On the road to oh and sixt... Wha?
I agree. I don't think the brand extension is going to end either. Certainly not at Wrestlemania like so many people seem to think. There are just a lot of people who feel better about themselves when they pretend to know exactly what's going to happen with every single aspect of the company. Personally, I don't think I'd bother watching a show if I already knew everything before it happened.
Originally posted by InVerseBischoff could believably bring back WCW, in spite of the botched invasion. It might take a former WCW star who hasn't returned yet to do it, but it can definitely be done.
And why do so many people spell it InVasion? The capital V is my gimmick, damnit. I've had it for 8 years now!
Well, I spelled it InVasion just so I could be cool.
If you've been using it for 8 years, maybe it's time to take VinnieMac to court. Legal has more time to spare now anyway.
Bischoff could bring it back, but if they were going to do that they would have done it shortly after he became Raw's GM. Although, if they did it right, they could have a very sucessful "Invasion" angle on their hands. An "Invasion" angle that's over a year late, but a decent angle regardless.

I read somewhere that in order for Vince to rename RAW "Nitro," he would be required to get direct permission from TNN (or whoever owns TNN) or something like that. Might be tough.
"And in front of the entire world, I want to show my little boy that sometimes - just sometimes, you have to FIGHT to be a man." - Michael S. Hickenbottom, the man who does not take part in angles that conflict with his religion, swearing violent revenge on HHH in full view of his two-year-old son. 11:06 PM, EST. 08/05/02. This angle, which has gone from being a "clean" wrestling match to an all-out unsanctioned street fight for bloody revenge is apparently sponsored by the book of Joshua.
It could be done. All it'd take is a Bischoff guy losing to a steph guy with the stip that the loser's GM had to leave. Add another stip that the only way a GM can lose his or her job is by resigning formally, saying Bischoff had his contract restructured, negotiating with Vince behind Steph's back. VINCE SCREWED STEPHANIE! (You know Vince'd love to have that roared on television) Have Bischoff refuse to resign. He's a heel. Have him and Vince out on TV, with Vince saying Steph DID kick him in the nuts and marry his rival, and she DID try to put him out of business, and she DID bitchslap his wife. And he's been waiting all this time to get his revenge which is to watch her fail, watch her prove she doesn't have "it" like her daddy did, prove that if she wasn't his seed, she wouldn't even have a job...Since she'd "not that intelligent and not that attractive". Huge heel heat for a dad saying this to his girl. Maybe this could finally get Steph over as a face. Then have Bischoff with Vince, after he's said all this and sent Steph running off in tears (and taken off RAW by security), and in classic Bischoff style. "You know Vince, I've always admired you...You're ruthless! I love that! But now that you've personally taken care of my competition..." (Ninja kicks him.) "I can honestly say I've had enoigh of this shit!" (Huge reaction from fans, I'd wager.) "Ten years, McMahon, ten years I've been wanting to kick you in your face...Ten years of you bitching about who has the money, about me stealing your talent...Well you're damn right I stole your talent! But now I'm stealing the one thing that matters more to you than that! YOUR COMPANY! Which I am now proud to call W....C.....W!" Since Vince was dumb enough to restructure his contract in a way where he can't be fired and has to resign Bischoff can do whatever he wants. He leaves Vince laying, and Vince calls after him and demands he come back for a whuppin'. Eric says, he's busy since he's got a company to run, but he's called in a friend to finish Vince off. In comes Goldberg.
An angle is reborn.

Originally posted by ekedolphinI, too, am a huge fan of the brand extension concept, although I wish they'd just get on with it and give the WCW trademarks and belts to the RAW brand.
There's too much money for them to make with the angle still going for them to stop. John Cena. He's my cheif reason for wanting it to keep going. Not to mention the fact that people like Hugh Morrus would have nochance if it didn't happen.
Speaking of above, I'm guessing the best time to turn Raw into WCW is right after the Royal Rumble when the two Pay Per Views per month starts.
Aero Star was a good choice for the freshly turned Johnny Mundo. He's built up an affinity with the fans through his best of five series with Drago. Mundo did a good job of playing the heel and the crowd booed accordingly.
