Ugghh....a potentially great move down the crapper!

So let's see...Hall's gone..you would figure Nash soon, then
X-Pac...

Big Slow's in..Flair semi-in..who's next...and more importantly, who's gonna come in and make everyone give a shit?

Could the Hall firing be a work, with Hall reappearing at Judgement Day to screw Austin yet again? I mean, really, why would they fire Scott Hall over some shit with Michael Hayes? What the hell does Hayes do anyway? He's WAY more useless than Hall, who, deteriorated or not, is involved in one of the company's main storylines. Something just seems odd about this.

But if the Hall firing is for real, I'd like to see Hogan rejoin. Really, the WWF has to know that Hogan is embarrassing himself as a face, so maybe this is all an elaborate plan. They get him back on the babyface side, then do a Bash at the Beach 1996 all over again, so he'll be more over as a heel.

Who's in? No one. The nWo is dead again. There's really no reason to continue beating this dead horse. Flair never officially joined and Nash is still "suspended" (and if he was as drunk as Hall, he'll probably be out too).

This will be a tough one to solve... how about Flair cuts the following promo (in the ring with Big Show at his back in an nWo shirt):

"Wooo! Stone Cold Steve Austin, I always liked you. I did. But Austin, week after week, I came down to this ring and I tried to help you out, and you never appreciated a damn thing I did for you. The Nature Boy would come down to this ring and wham! Stunner! Every single week, wham, stunner. Well, you know what, Austin, I got sick of it. I am the Co-owner of this company, but I am NOT Vince McMahon. I won't stand for it, Austin! So I called up my boy, the Big Show, here. And we screwed YOU, Austin. Wooo! But that's not all. Not only did I kick YOUR ass, and lock you in the figure four in the middle of this ring... I killed two birds with one stone. You see, in order get to you, Austin, I needed the nWo. So the Big Show, he convinced the nWo that he was on their side. Show, what do you REALLY think about the nWo?
[Show rips off the T-shirt and slams it down onto the mat]
That's what I thought. The Big Show and I, we don't need the nWo aymore. X-Pac, Nash, Hall- what about the rest of you? You want to work for the Nature Boy, Ric Flair? If you've got the brass ones, come out here right now on your KNEES, and you BEG me not to fire your asses!
[Broken Glass. Austin enters.]
"Austin, I'm done with you for now... You'll get your chance at Judgement Day..."
[Austin rushes the ring, but Big Show gets between him and Flair. Flair gets away untouched. Austin Drinks beer]

Later in the show, X-Pac comes into Flair's office. Show and Arn have Flair's back. X-Pac says that Hall and Nash left. Flair says they can go to hell. X-Pac wants his job, so Flair makes three conditions: 1)X-Pac has to throw away his nWo T-shirt (which he does) 2) He gives up the Kane mask and 3)He has to beat Big Show tonight. He loses, and gets himself traded to Smackdown (where he can job to Tajiri, Kidman and Mysterio).

nWo is dead.

sorry about the fantasy booking, but I think this thread calls for it.

Can I be the first in this thread to throw the obligatory pipe-dream comment about Shawn Michaels coming back to lead the NWO? Or Scott Steiner coming in to take them over? Not that either one is going to happen, especially the Michaels thing, but I think it's a rule someone has to say it any time this topic comes up, or indeed any topic about the WWF bringing someone in as a surprise.

Sure kill WWF but long live the NWO! Seriously, the NWO deserved the death penalty long ago. Never should have been brought back (yes dammit, I told you so) and there is no reason it should be continued. Why stick new people in a stable that was and continues to be a fucking embarrassment?

Amen Jackson. Let the NWO die. Create new stables. I don't care if they bring in Steiner and Goldberg and Michaels and put them all together, as long as they're not the NWO. It's old. Get over it. Also, after this run of NWO and Hulkamania (man I hate the red and yellow tights, please Hulk, go to something a little easier on the eyes) I am really not into any nostalgia trips. So what does that mean? No new Horsemen. Maybe next year guys, but bringing back another old stable would just get on my nerves.

I don't know, I still like the music. And it's a sure-fire heel stable, so why not keep them. And the possibilites are plentiful when it comes to how the nWo could look. Some examples of future leaders:

Triple H (just seems to fit)
Hulk Hogan (turn him heel while the fans love him again)
Jeff Jarrett (Bring the Chosen One back!)
Scott Steiner (I'd watch RAW just for the 10-minute BPP interviews)
Ric Flair (Why not?)

I just saw Spiderman, and I really think they should bring back Randy Savage, so I'm probably not in the best frame of mind to answer this question... (He's in that movie for, what, three minutes? And he manages to drop the flying elbow and say Ooooooh Yeah! about five times!)

What should be interesting is the explanation of where Scott Hall went? From a storyline standpoint, why would he leave? The nWo is riding strong, and now they've got the owner in their back pocket. Flair couldn't logically take any sort of action against him right now.

I suppose they could be honest about the whole thing like they have been recently, but "broke her neck filming a TV show" and "promoting a crappy Mummy movie" are hardly the same thing as "fired for excessive drug and alcohol abuse", are they?

I keep thinking that as long as those t-shirts keep selling, the nWo will continue to exist.

(learned that in marketing 101)

Between that, and all the weeks and weeks of hype bringing the nWo in, I mean, that would mean pissing it all away in the blink of an eye. Not saying they shouldn't, I am just thinking that it wouldn't happen that quickly.

I see Sting winning his "cancer" battle against JJ and facing a tweener Joe for the belt. That would be the smart route.
