***SD SPOILER***

Somebody from the WWF also realized that it wasn't an official match, so they made it one and jobbed Lance out to Godfather at the tapings.

***End spoiler***

To defend Rikishi for a minute, (I know, I know) he sure isn't anywhere near good in my book- more moveset than anything, but it's hard to not give credit to somebody who can do a flipsell and is willing to do it at the drop of a hat. In the current scene where selling is either done badly, not at all, or overexaggerated to the point of being rediculous (see: Rock's Bowling Pin Stunner Sell), I do think that it's a little goofy, but the effort that he had to put into learning how to move 400+ pounds like that makes me appreciate him, just a little bit.

So, to answer the question... I'll also throw a vote in Bossman's direction.

Yeah, I agree about high spot only artists being the worst wrestlers but does anyone in the WWF really fit into that category? Jeff Hardy is suicidal, but he not the same backyarder that debuted in plaid years ago. He can do basic matwork (see his match against Matt that pissed off Vince so much) so I don't think he's in that flyer only category at all. And before anyone suggests it RVD is a far better all rounder than he was in ECW so he is not the "worst wrestler" in the WWF just because he has a high risk innovative offense.

About Lance Storm, I think he's great and he can be damn entertaining but it's not his fault if he's not used right.

This thread really all depends on whether by worst wrestler people mean "worst technical skills" or "least entertaining".

Worst skills I'd say Billy Gunn in the WWF (ever since he dropped Benoit on his head) and Goldberg for worst non WWF guy.

Least entertaining I'd go for any no-selling egotist you might care to mention.

There are not too many wrestlers I actually hate, though there are a number to whom I'm indifferent. It hasn't got a whole lot to do with technical ability--I can admire a guy's moveset and still find him unmemorable (Steve Blackman? Who's he?) I couldn't stand Billy Bitchcakes before he became the Bride of Chucky (credit to Baranduyn) and now...I still can't stand him. Big Show has to dog it very, very hard to get my respect from a pure workrate standpoint, and usually he blows his chance. I leave the room when DDP comes on, because his smile makes me feel as if there are dingoes eating my babies, but my husband likes him--go figure. Show impersonating DDP was my nightmare come true! Well, maybe I dislike more wrestlers than I thought. But that's about the whole list! Ask me when I've had my coffee.

Regards, Madame (virgin post, BTW. Hi guys!)

Okay, here goes.

As for least skilled wrestler, or limited arsenal, I'd have to give the nod to the Big Show. Never mind that he doesn't actually need to have a massive arsenal of moves, and add in the fact that I find him entertaining as hell. He can make a match out of headbutts and clotheslines, then the CHOOOOOOOOKESLAAAAAAAAAAM.

For worst technician, or sloppiest, I can't say Billy Gunn because of ONE incident with Benoit. That's like saying Owen Hart was a bad wrestler because of what happened with Austin, or that D'lo Brown is a talentless hack because of what happened with Droz. I can say Billy Gunn because it's true, he's an awful wrestler.

As for least entertaining, or the guy that we entertain ourselves with by laughing at him (not with him), would be Maven. He's plain.

So, WWF, if there was say, God forbid, a comet hitting the earth, or a nuclear holocaust, or chemical or biological attack, or a bomb, or the four horsemen of the Apolycolaspe come. All I have to do to survive is watch the WWF?

But Maven is SUPPOSED to be plain. I mean, who knows. Maybe he's always plain in real life and that's all he has to offer, but his "character" (If you can call it that) is supposed to be plain right now. I'm not sure it's fair to fault him for that.

i hate...i hate...i hate Billy Gunn. Even if he has improved since having matches where he'd fuck up at least two moves (spinning powerslam or whatever)

I think Billy dropped Benoit on his head twice, once at a PPV then at TV the following week (disclaimer: too lazy to actually look up names of events) and they both looked kinda scary. They were from his one handed gorilla press slam. Thank god thats gone. But his other moves looked weak too, particularly his version of the Jackhammer. I figure if Goldberg can do a move better than you, then you're pretty sloppy ;-)

Goldberg, my friend, can do a back handspring. A pretty back handspring. How many heavyweights currently on the WWF roster can? Does that make all of them sloppy?

Actually I said that remark with tongue firmly in cheek, but hell, two words: Bret Hart.

Goldberg was fun to watch, and I enjoyed his matches and thought the initial undefeated run was one of the decent things Bischoff acheived but come on.... If we're talking about working then Goldberg was green as hell. Yes he had charisma but he was sloppy. I don't see how that can be argued against. Thats not a knock on him, but rather that he was pushed hard while still a rookie so he would be sloppy, obviously, since he didn't have time to work on things like not actually, y'know, injuring your opponent.

OK, much respect for Cesaro, but how the hell do you knock your teeth out on a monkey flip? You can't blame that one on the other guy.
