At this point, admittedly having not played a whole game of Madden yet, I think I again prefer NCAA for gameplay. I can't put my finger on it, but I like the POV of NCAA better and the actualy play of the game.
I've not fiddled with Franchise mode yet, which was more entertaining last year than actually playing games.
You're all so WONDERFUL. Why did they ever have to remove you from the continuity? You'd have made for MARVELOUS stories. You WILL make marvelous stories. And the FIRST story of the new world will be a story of REVENGE! -- The Psycho Pirate, Animal Man 23, May 1990.
I just played my first full game of Madden last night and I really like the "look" of the NCAA 2003 a lot better. The scoreboard and the pop-up graphics are a lot cleaner on NCAA 2003 and it seems to make the game a lot smoother. I haven't played a game on Madden in daylight, though, and it's possible that could make a difference.
Having said that, I love both games. I finally finished inputting all the rosters in NCAA 2003 last night, so I'll be delving into Dynasty Mode like a mofo', but the Trophy Games have more than held my interest and I only have 2 more of those to win. I thoroughly enjoyed playing my first preseason game with the Patriots in which, despite a loss, I had Damon Huard really clicking with the two rookie receivers in the second half. I'm digging the Mini-Camp mode as well.
I say damn O'Donnell and Kordell. The Steelers are cursed to never have a good quarterback. We have a decent quarterback, but not a good quarterback. But in a way, I guess that's the trademark of the Steelers: a gritty team with in-your-face ass kickers.
