What a hellafide, hard-fought win over Maryland last night! One of the best games I've seen in years. With the win, No. 11 Indiana is now 5-0, and is definitely gonna rise in the next polls!

GO IU!

booooooooooooooooo...Blake made that shot damnit, i don't care what the facts say

DDP: Well, there's this little passage I got memorized, Diamond Dallas 25:17. Sort of fits this occasion:

"The path of the bookerman is beset on all sides by the inequities of the talented, and the tyranny of workrate freaks. Blessed is he, who in the name of tradition and sports entertainment carries the stiffs through the matches of Nitro, for he is truly the workrate's keeper, and the finder of lost quality. And I will lay the smack down upon thee with great vengeance and furious roid rage those who attempt to outwrestle and expose my brothers. And you will know my name as the Bookerman, when I lay my catchphrase upon thee!"

I was pissed because I was so tired that I went to bed when Maryland was still ahead. I saw the shot this morning and yes, Blake did make it. Of course, we play Duke at least twice a year; we're used to getting screwed by bad officiating.

The light was red, so it didn't count. What was bullshit was the fact that they didn't call a foul when they double-teamed Blake on inbounds pass.

-Jag

With poison running through your veins, and death marching solemnly towards you, heroic acts become more of a necessity as you see your time dwindling.

Vanquishing your enemies, making amends to those you have wronged, and leaving words of love and kindness for those around you become second nature as your own mortality looms

However, true strength lies not in these last desperate acts, but in the actions of one who has to get out of bed the next day and face the consequences of doing that which you believe is right.

Eh, cry all you want to about it, even the announcers said the shot shouldn't count. And the officials were unanimous on it.

So I say, take that, national champions! Whoo!

*sigh*

Leave it to Indiana fans to boast after they don't win the game that matters, but do win the one that doesn't.

Yeah, I was having trouble descrambling that myself... it's all good, though. And even though I love to root on my team, I do respect dissenting opinions. Hell, that's what the board's all about-- debate and discussion.

well, i'm a die hard Terp (hell, i am a Terp, a 7th year Jr.) and i will be the first to admit that i would be happy if they make it to the elite 8 or final 4 and lose, because they lost 4 starters and Blake can't carry the team on his own, but luckly they have a top notch bench that has stepped up to fill some pretty big shoes...

just being realistic...

BTW, how many starters did IU lose, if any?

IU only lost 3 - Dane Fife, Jarrad Odle, and Jared Jeffries. I think with the experience of Coverdale, Moye, Newton, etc., combined with Bracey Wright [Freshman] leading the team in scoring and free thow %, IU's got a good chance to be back in at least the Elite 8.

Wouldn't get too happy there yet...

You're forgetting where the game's being played.

WHOO!

7-0! Very little problem with Vanderbilt. Bring on Purdue, and let's kick their ass, because yours truly is gonna be right there to cheer on the cream and crimson.

DAMN that Bracey Wright...what a player. If we remotely shoot anywhere NEAR our normal percentages in FG's and 3ptFG's, this would have been a much more exciting game.

Already looking forward to next year's game in MY house...BTW, we have no seniors on the team. :)

Blah...if the Terps face off against the Indiana Psyducks again, the terps will come out on top again, not by much, but they will pervail...
