This is the first PPV since WrestleMania I'm buying. Why? Simply because the card is more stacked that the girl I sat behind in Chemistry class...AND...BENOIT/RVD! ROCK/BROCK! ANGLE/REY! I'm more excited than...uh...Dean during a Rock match! So, I ask my fellow Wieners...WHO ELSE, pray tell, is ponying up the dough for SummerSlam?

...but I almost always get the PPV. I really enjoyed Vengeance, actually. But this is certainly the best looking PPV on paper since I don't know when. It might be tough for them to live up to everyone's raised expections. We'll soon see...

I'm not buying per se, but I am going in with friends for this show. It should be great (I hope).

I'm buying... I too have not purchased a PPV since WrestleMania, and I'm looking forward to this show. Hell, Mysterio/Angle and Benoit/RVD was enough for me.

Rest in Peace, Chick.

I desperately want too..... all my friends have either gone away for college or are still in high school and don't have a cable box. I'm hoping my friends who are still in high school with me will go to Hooters with me and watch so we can have a little going away party for myself, as I am the last one to leave on Wed. The question is, if no one can go, should I go to Hooters by myself to watch wrestling? Right now I think I will if need be.

I've purchased every one since Survivor Series 98 and I'm not going to stop now. However, this is one of the best cards I've seen in a long time. Just top to bottom, it's loaded. So, yes, I'm buying it, but for the first time in a long time, it's Friday and it's already all I'm thinking about.

I am a 21-time Wiener of the Day. Unfortunately, all of my reigns happened during house shows, including 5 in the past week, and are not officialy recoginzed.

Count me in. This is one of the few PPV's that I've been psyched about. Rey Mysterio's first WWE PPV, HBK's 'last' match, Rock Vs. Brock, Edge Vs. Eddie, and so much more. I can not wait for Sunday.

Only sad thing about it is that I'll have to watch it alone as my friends are off pouting about no Hardy Boys(z). Ha! Come to think of it, none of them have ever seen HBK wrestle before. Shame! Better off alone, I say.

I've already placed my order.

I haven't missed a PPV since Royal Rumble '99 and I caught much of '98 and '97 on rentals. Usually (except for Wrestlemania when people who don't normally watch ANY wrestling come over), I'm calling people all day Sunday to try to convince them to come over and split the costs. This month, I'm getting calls in ADVANCE. More people = less cost per person = Everyone wins!

It's on like neckbone! I can't wait to get that mug. Actually, I don't buy. I mooch. I'll be mooching off of someone else who orders the pay per view. But, god-DIZZLE, I can't WAIT until Rey/Kurt.

The REAL question is, "Who Bettah Than Cory Dillon"!?

It's for a good cause, although being that-guy-alone-at-Hooters may be odd.

I too almost never miss a PPV, but Summerslam would warrant a purchase even if I was the sort of person who actually evaluates each individual show on it's own merits.

Think about it: Brock Lesnar breaking That Bitch Rock in half, Shawn Michaels (finally) returning to action, Benoit and RVD getting PPV time to do their thing, Angle and Rey - which should be almost as good and the program I've always wanted to see between Jericho and Flair. Hell, except for Undertaker and Test in the Pissbreak Invitational, I don't see a flaw with this show on paper.

Go. Don't sit at a table by yourself, sit at the bar and socialize with the fellow wrestling fans. Not only will you get a great show, but you might make a friend from outside of your usual circle...

I've gotten every PPV as far back as I can remember (save some of the late era WCW stuff), but this one will likely have the largest attendance at my domicile in quite a while. Everyone I talked to is just waiting for RVD/Benoit, even the more markish types as they know this is going to be a balls to the wall match. Best PPV card on paper in quite a while.

Phantom, they are..
When me and my buddies were in Toronto for Wrestlemania we went to Hooters on many an occasion, not only for the fact that they were nice enough to put Smackdown on for us, but because the wings were that-damn-good!!
Hope you all enjoy Summerslam!
But don't bitch too much if something doesnt live up to your expectations. With our hopes up so high people will go crazy if everything isn't perfect..

I'll be heading to the same sports bar I always attend, but I *am* super-excited about this one. Sports bars are wonderful. I could pay 30 bucks, watch at home, or I could pay 25 for me and the boyfriend to enjoy dinner, and a big screen of the ppv. Tough choice. The place is always practically deserted too, so the number of obnoxious morons is minimal.

I'm also giving a ride to the bar to one of my coworkers. When he told me he didn't have a car or cable, but really wanted to see the show, I couldn't not offer him a ride and have an easy conscience. NO ONE should be forced to miss RVD/Benoit and Angle/Mysterio! No one!

Haven't gotten a PPV since Summerslam last year. I might get this PPV, but I probably won't decide until the last second.
