He should get a t-shirt that says that, just to save the trouble of saying it 500 times. I have never seen someone that so many people want to perform physical violence upon, and that's just *watching* the show. The real question is, will there be armed security at the reunion to save his scrawny behind?

| #5 Posted on 5.12.03 2340.22 | Instant Rating: 5.54 | I have a bad feeling that Jon is going to win. He's totally playing everyone, and yet while everyone knows he's a liar, nobody is doing anything about it. It looks like Brian in Survivor Five; everyone seems to think they're Jon's final two partner (except Sandra) so they're not going to do anything against him.
Frankly, I would have less of a problem with Jon winning than I would with Burton or Lil (the Outcasts) winning on their bullshit second chance.
Let's put this in the plainest terms possible: Darryl Strawberry has no business instructing anybody about anything. He has never done a thing in his life to warrant a position of guidance. Not on the field. Not off the field.-- David Vescey, si.com

What I'm waiting for somebody to do in Survivor is to pair up with the obnoxious guy at the beginning and say "Hey, I want them to hate you and love me, then at the Jury we can just tell them it was all a plan so they'll hate us equally." That'd work better if, say, a Rupert-type & a Jon-type paired up, though, as one would manuever everybody into NOT voting him out and the other'd just be too cool for school.
I miss Rupert. At least it's only 2 months until the All-Star Edition starts.

I don't care who he is up against in the Final 2 - you have to vote him at that point because he outplayed everyone - but that doesn't mean that I wouldn't love to see his ass get booted this Thursday night

| #10 Posted on 8.12.03 1659.51 | Instant Rating: 5.54 | In every other Survivor, however, the more likable person has won.
1) Richard over Kelly...it was only the audience that saw Rich as this super mastermind. He seemed to get along pretty well with everyone on the island, while Kelly was kind of an outsider. This was the Survivor, it should be said, where personal feelings REALLY played the strongest role in the finals voting, since the old Pagong people all openly were rooting for Kelly and the Tagi alliance all hated Kelly for "turning on them" (which was kinda bullshit).
2) Tina over Colby...Colby's cockiness rubbed some people the wrong way.
3) Ethan over Kim...both were pretty well-liked, so in this case, it was a case of the jury favouring Ethan because he "played the game better," though I think he was just a cog in the alliance as much as Kim was.
4) Vecepia over Neleh...there were some complaints about Neleh's goody-two-shoesishness, and I can't recall anyone saying anything bad about V.
5) Brian over Clay...Yeesh, both of them were a couple of assholes. The difference is that Clay was an outright asshole, whereas Brian hid his true nature for the cameras. Hell, that was Brian's whole plan; get into the Final 2 against Clay because everyone hated him. People only caught onto Brian after he methodically stabbed everyone in the back.
6) Jenna over Matt...this one is still baffling to me, but I guess Matt's eccentricity was more off-putting than Jenna's bitchiness.
So in summation, I'd have to say that even if Jon makes the final two, his ass is probably grass UNLESS he's in against Burton or Lillian and is able to play the "they've already been voted out, so it would be unfair to have them win" card.

Hmm, I'd argue that Neleh's downfall was the bitterness of the Rotu alliance members (save Zoe, if I recall correctly) who were ousted due to her siding with Sean and V. John, especially, thought he was golden. They perceived Neleh to be a backstabber as opposed to someone who did what needed to be done to advance as far as possible. Vecepia, originally being a Maraamu tribe member, was saved from their wrath.

| #15 Posted on 12.12.03 0054.21 | Instant Rating: 5.54 | So after a great episode (man, Burton was an ass), we're down to the final four, let's analyze how voting MIGHT (since lord knows I don't anything about how people's minds work post-Jenna winning last year) work out.
LIL vs. DARRAH Ryno: Darrah Rupert: Darrah; Lil turned on him Tijuana: Darrah Christa: I'm thinking probably Darrah, just because she's closer in age and because Christa might be pissed that Lil "turned" on her Burton: Lil, since even though she screwed him over, Burton might just end up voting for his fellow outcast Jon: Darrah because she's hotter, which is probably all Jon cares about Sandra: Darrah WINNER: Darrah
LIL VS. JON Ryno: Jon, if for no other reason thatn Ryno already voted Lil out once and might resent her getting this far Rupert: Lil..I firmly believe that Rupert would rather vote for Stalin than Jon at this point Tijuana: Sadly enough, probably Jon for the same reason as Ryno Christa: Lil Burton: His buddy Jon Darrah: I'm thinking probably Lil, just because it looked like the two of them had grown a little close, certainly closer than Jon the asshat Sandra: Lil, just to stick it to Jon WINNER: Lillian
LIL VS. SANDRA Ryno: Sandra Rupert: Sandra Tijuana: Hmmm...probably Sandra, just because Lil's being an outcast and (more importantly) the Morgan outcast will probably end her Christa: Sandra Burton: No idea...he'd be so pissed at this point it could be either Jon: Lil, just to piss off Sandra Darrah: Probably Sandra, largely for T's reasoning WINNER: Sandra
SANDRA VS. JON Ryno: Sandra, if for no other reason than he might still think Jon's a prick from the whole "we threw the challenge" fiasco at the Morgan camp. Rupert: Sandra Tijuana: Probably Sandra, I'd think, though T was never really in favour of either strongly Christa: Sandra Burton: Jon Lil: Sandra Darrah: Sawndra, as she would say it WINNER: Sandra
SANDRA VS. DARRAH Ryno: Darrah, old tribal ties Rupert: Sandra, old tribal ties Tijuana: Darrah, OTT Christa: Sandra, OTT Burton: Probably Darrah, just because he hates her least Jon: Darrah Lil: Tough call....could go either way, leaning towards Sandra perhaps because of Lil's residual bitterness at getting voted off Morgan in the first place. WINNER: Just barely Darrah
DARRAH VS. JON Ryno: Darrah Rupert: Darrah Tijuana: Darrah Christa: Darrah Burton: Jon Lil: Probably Darrah Sandra: Darrah. WINNER: Darrah...it's a blowout, folks!
So if you're looking at an unbeatable Final Two player, it's the southern belle herself. Should be a very interesting final episode.

| #16 Posted on 12.12.03 0358.05 | You know, it's interesting that the only castaway left who I think *truly* deserves the million is the one who I would love to see voted out. Jon (and Sandra, arguably) are the only two left who have played a good game. Darrah has been a bump on the log the entire series, and Lil (besides already losing once) just figured out she was playing 'Survivor' on tonight's episode.
Anything other than a Jon win, at this point, would be a giant let down. Sandra comes in a distant second.
However, it looks like Jon will be gone early into the finale, ousted by the new Estrogen Alliance.
Bleh, bring on All Stars.

Other than winning three immunities in a row when you need them most...letting others weed themselves out until you need to step up is a strategy.

more so than the vote, I am looking forward to the reunion show where most likely they will need to keep Jon in an isolation booth with a bodyguard.....
