"Tonight, I left a ticket for Jerry Lawler to come down here, sit in the crowd and watch his son wrestle. But you know what? He's not here. I forgot - every Wednesday night he likes to hang out at the local high school with a fistful of candies!" -- Brian Lawler, 17 July 2002
I'm in agreement with the poll results in this case. Sacramento definitely has the best chance, in my opinion. Although I'd love to see the Pacers do it...
Oh, well, who knows. If Sacramento does become the team to beat the Lakers, maybe the Pacers will become the team who beats the team that beat the Lakers.
“What the heck is he doin' here? Hey Mysterio...don't child labor laws state that you can't be here more than five hours a day? Hahahaha- get it? Ho ho, get it?... 'cause he's... you know, short.” --Kurt Angle, SmackDown, 9/26/02

I really was just being sarcastic about the Wizards and the NBA fixing games. But with the Wizards karma, Jordan will get hurt in the first minute of the season, Stackhouse will be Stackhouse, and the team will finish 30-52, mostly on the efforts of Juan Dixon.
Maybe I'm dumb...or overanxious, but I think an eye must be kept on that other team that plays in the Staples Center. They have a point guard now (Andre Miller), they're a year older, they're gonna be scary good real soon. They're gonna win 45+ this year and if they get into the playoffs, who knows what can happen. They don't have the playoff experience, but that doesn't always apply. I know I'm intrigued by them.
(Plus, THEY, and they alone, give me hope for the Bengals. If Elgin Baylor can suddenly get good at running a team, maybe Mike Brown can?)

Columbus Blue Jackets: Ignite The Night (yeah, the motto sucks, but the team might not!)
The Clippers, once the laughing stock of Los Angeles, have improved by leaps and bounds. I think they'll be an even better team this year too. But they aint comin' close to beating the Lakers. PIease beIieve it.
I respect Indy's ability to still be in the top 8 after all the stuff that's happened to them this year. With my Celtics securely in the #3 spot, Indy is the team I would not want them to face in the 1st round, especially if JO is healthy.
