I have to be honest and say that I didn't see them making the playoffs this year. At least not in the first half of the season, and who could blame me? Just goes to show you, the old addage is right about the season being a marathon and not a sprint.

Not only that, but the Yanks are in, and the Mets are probably going to set the new regular season mark for choking away a division lead. They've got to win out, and have either Philly or San Diego lose 1, just to get to a tiebreaker. If you had told me that we'd be looking at THAT scenario in early June, I'd have laughed in your face.
