I think this does stem back to an incident over a year ago. Says the offense date was June 2004.

It's dissappointing, I remember being a Rockers fan as a wee lad (it was '89 or '90 or sometime around there) watching the morning show on USA, and I remember liking Marty more than Shawn. Here's to hoping him losing the WWE contract not being his last chance.

From what I understand Jannetty violated his probation from those 2004 charges by assaulting his girlfriend recently.
Those types of websites usually only list people's convicted felonies.
