i know bischoff "fired her" or whatever, but i thought she was physically ready to return... was that a dropped angle? are they keeping her off tv for a reason? anybody know?

Well She used to do commentary on Heat, But I have not watched it lately. My guess is she still getting back in shape after the neck surgery now that rehab is over.
Lita is working at least part time in OVW, trying to get back in ring shape; presumbably, they took her off Heat so she wouldn't lose a couple days a week coming in for the taping and the voice overs. The original target was a SummerSlam debut, but what the multiple storylines already flying around in the Women's division (Gail Kim showing up at some point, Ivory v Jazz, Trish's losing streak?), they could wait a little longer to get more impact out of her return.
From the sound of Meltzer's update today, she's also contunity her work with animals in spare
They screwed up by not at least having Coach or Al give an explaination (a *wink* *wink* deal where they imply that Lita got rehired by Austin but don't want to spoil her eventual return to get revenge on Eric) but she's a midcarder so expect nothing less.
I really wish they could send some decent women over to Smackdown. I know the Women Title is on Raw, but the Smackdown women (especially the ones who get tons of TV time) are so lame. I would like more of a balance.
cause there's limits to our liberties. 'Least I hope and pray that there are, cause those liberal freaks go too far.
I'll crush all opposition to me And I'll make Ted Kennedy pay If he fights back, I'll say that he's gay
The following post expresses the opinions of a raving Jerichoholic. He is biased, opinionated and bitter. You have been warned.
Last time WWE tried to strike somewhat of a balance, we got Lance Storm and Hurricane on Raw. Two pretty good cruiserweights and neither one of them has been taken seriously since!

Lita appeared at a Maryland Championship Wrestling show several weeks back as the special guest ref for the "Legends of MCW" show. She filled in for Dusty Rhodes, who had a family issue (har, har) and couldn't make it. She looked great, but didn't get too involved in the action.

I'd like that too, if they were more seriously comitted to the women as wrestlers. However, as is, I'd rather have all the actual wrestler women in the same place. That way we have a chance of good, sustanibly "competitive" women's matches, without getting back to the days of "this week's edition of Trish vs. Victoria". Once WWE actually believes that there is an audience for quality women's wrestling, then maybe they can expand to supporting both shows.

May I ask who cares about Lita? So shes a broad and can do a moonsaulght big deal now. Plus she looks sluty, her promos and anouncing are horrible and shes sloppy in the ring.
The article felt markish but hey anytime wrestling gets good press is fine by me. It is nice to see someone mention that they enjoy the program rather than rip it apart as a smut filled broadcast.
