There aren't anymore. It seems like the goodguy/badguy concept is dead. There are only guys that fans like or hate because they suck. When is the last time a heel really pissed the crowd off? Not since the days of NWO right? Any comments?

I'm not so sure. Austin didnt get all those boos a couple months ago because he sucked. HHH didnt get all his heat from sucking either. And as much as I hate to admit it, Test does not suck (Dont tell Brew I said that), and he's got some pretty good heel heat going too. Those are the few I can come up with off the top of my head right, I know there are plenty more.

You do have a point though, NEO. I dont think there are as many good heels with REAL heel heat as there used to be.

HHH had it. He pissed the crowd off because he was better than everyone else.

I think Kurt Angle COULD have it if they ever stuck to a push for more than a couple of months before forgetting he's around.

HHH was truly it. I thought he was a great change of pace from all the wussified heels before him. He proved that heels have balls too. I miss that more than anything.

Yeah those guys were decent. But they were still liked by alot of fans. Triple H had the best heel heat, but I think the Trish Stratus think softened his character a little. I'm talking about a heel the caliber of the Honky Tonk man or Macho Man. Somebody you want to see destroyed, a real S.O.B. Any favorites?

Maybe that did soften him up. But after he said he was the mastermind of that hit and run, the hardness was back and even harder. The promos at that time were creepy!

Yeah I can recall watch Triple H last year, and the Mark in me just hated that guy SO much. It was at that point I realized just how good Hunter was at truely being a Heel's Heel!
Angle was a great Heel when he was winning (Mostly clean) back in his first year.
There is just something about a guy who is so damn pompuos and arrogant, and also that good.
Right now Vince is the company's biggest heel.

Booker T is trying, but just ain't getting over Heel (His catch phrases, bis glove, and that spin-a-roney make his seem too goofy to be bad). Angle is heel, but not fully over as the hell(Sure he's booed, but he's not hated). If they Gave Jericho a little credibility (As has been mentioned on other threads on this site) by having him cleanly beat some guys, then he could be over big time as a heel. (Normally the cheat to win Champion is good for serious heel heat, but Jericho is still too popular to be seen totally as a heel).
Some of the better past heels (Well great heels for their time)have applied the unstoppable monster gimmick (Kamala, Vader, Yokozuna, Evil Andre, King kong Bundy), which makes then the perfect ways to get faces over (But Sadly means once they are beaten, their heat, and often their careers, are over).

In Fact Yoko was a Heel Champion who's entire heat was based on the fact that fans hated him, and very few opponents had a hope of beating him, and those that did, were subsequently cheated.
Of course sometimes, a face has to sacrifice something for the Heel to go truly over (Recall that while Hogan lost to Yoko, asa result of a nefarious Camera shot, Yoko DID kick out after recieving the Big Boot(tm) and Leg Drop o' Doom).

Jericho's Heel push needs some serious validation to make him a serious heel Champion.

Also Keep in mind, Austin, Rock, and even Jericho were heels before, who ended up becoming Faces because the Fans decided it. (Austin was being his BMF self and people started pulling for him. Rock was the Hated leader of NOD and over the course of months, more and more fans were cheering him, and he changed Nothing to cause this. Jericho came into the WWF with a Heel push, taking on faces Road Dog, X pac, Shamrock and others, but was still getting big cheers. (And back then he was winning some of the matches without help.)

I honestly think Triple H should take a handful of guys aside, teach them a few tricks of the heel trade, and then see who

Yes Stone Cold was a great heel until the double turn with Bret, and The Rock was tremendous as a heel both against HHH and Stone Cold in feuds for the IC Title.

But best heel since the two of them?

I tihnk the point was when was a heel 100% a heel.
Stone Cold, even when he was the paranoid SOB wasnt hated for being a heel..He was hated for being in the Alliance, being with Steph, Shane etc..
People would still go like 'heh..there is that guy kicking ass'
He did try very hard however to be hated..until 'what?' ofcourse..

Imagine this is some funny signature. Then I will imagine you compliment me on it.

I think it's because fans as a whole are "smarter" in that they realise it's all fake, and that it's the guy's job to piss them off. So they appreciate the good job guys do, therefore they like them.

ECW was always able to produce some pretty good heels...Raven/Fonzie/Dudleys/Steve Corino...Heyman needs to work some heel magic, hell I'd like him to get a heel stable together again.

I feel sorry for the poor soul who has the job as Albert's back hair shaver. *shudder* Also on the hair topic, you forgot Jericho's old sideburns.
