Generalissimo Takada's Energy Beverage Provides Maximum Nourishment!
Paradise Valley Community College (aka 13th grade from my high school) 93-95 Arizona State University, Mathematics/Statistics major 1995-1996, where I lost my mind and just up and left in the middle of the semester, absorbing 12 credits worth of F's (more on this in a moment)
I worked as an accountant for the 9 years hence, when I finally realized (just a bit before turning 30, and spurred by the sudden death of an uncle) that my life was stretching out in front of me, and it was a life of accounting reports and clawing my way into middle management. A soulless, joyless existence that I would be damned if I continue.
After a tense summer of 2005 where I had to "play my way back in" (recall the F's above), I am happy to say:
Arizona State University, Mathematics major 2005, on pace to get BA in Fall 2006 and then spend a year for teaching certification to become a high school math teacher and football coach.
It's been almost 2 years since the last post in here. I'm about to start at a new school, anybody got anything new going on?
I've since graduated with a BS, been working for almost a year, and was accepted to Tufts University for grad school. Starting in September I'll be working full-time towards a PhD in chemical engineering, specifically in clean energy technology. I'm taking a summer session night class now to get a head start on credits and ease my boredom now that Lost and the Office are off the the summer. Only a year removed from academia, it's still somewhat of a shock to be sitting in class taking notes again.
Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her. Harry: That's a special feeling.
Wife and I both went to the University of Missouri - Rolla, now renamed Missouri University of Science and Technology or MUST or Missouri S&T, whatever. Engineering dorks we be. Though really I've turned into a computer dork, but it's not like that's a huge leap.
We um...had an astronaut graduate from there! And we won the American Solar Car race pretty much every year, so SUCK IT M.I.T.!!
I suddenly just remembered the opening monologue when John Goodman hosted and everyone thought it was a rerun in my head. I really liked that one. In retrospect, it also includes a pre-cast member appearance by Tina Fey. http://www.nbc.
