I was at work last night, sadly, so costumes were out. However, I decided to take an old shirt of mine, and write the letters "I" and "P" in black. Yeah, I was a black eyed pea for Hallowe'en. :P

For the Halloween party this past Saturday, I went as Dr. Preston Burke and my wife went as Dr. Christina Yang, both of Grey's Anatomy fame. The surgeons outfits were pretty cheap at Party City. Apparently I look a lot like Burke except I'm not African American. So my wife bought some Maybelleine foundation and applied to my face and hands. I looked a lot like Burke. Also I practiced my shaking hand a lot.

It's refreshing to know that "Demon Skull" drinks caffeine-free beverages.

Mine's here. I wore a lucha mask (a bootleg Rey Jr. mask, I believe), a feather boa, a dog collar, and a craaaaazy tie. These were all chosen because I could quickly change in/out of costume in my cubicle if need be (and it did).

I don't know what I was supposed to be, exactly, but most people at work guessed "superhero" so I guess that's what I was. When asked, I claimed to be an astronaut, a mime, or Batman.

Sadly, all they had to drink at the party was Diet Caffeine free Pepsi and Fresca.

You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.

"They're plump, ripe, and priced to move. Get your fat Samoan today!" (Packman V2)

Pictures forthcoming, but I went with Ed Hochuli. Striped referee shirt (that employees at Cingular stores probably had to wear around the Final Four), muscle arms from iParty, and a less-than-successful attempt at ironing "HOCHULI" and 85 onto acrylic/polyester (the worst part was trying to attach them to the shirt), black pants, whistle, penalty flag, all the accoutrements. At least until I decided not to spring for the syringes.

That might be one of the best costume ideas I've ever heard. I went as a guy who got the crap knocked out of him. My g/f did such a good job on the eyes that people were asking if they were real.

Read it and weep, fella

I'll be taking my sisters (10 & 14) trick-or-treating like I always do, while wearing my usual "Ramses" mask of "Nacho Libre" fame.

I have a full-body yellow Marshmallow Peep costume. I may or may not wear a lucha mask under the flap that is the head of the Peep.

I will require pictures. With and without lucha.

It is the policy of the documentary crew to remain true observers and not interfere with its subjects.

I didn't bring the lucha mask to work, so lucha pics will have to wait. As for the costume itself, here you go:

My girlfriend made me make a pouty face because she thinks it's hilarious when little kids are sad on Halloween because they didn't get the costume they wanted. I don't entirely understand it but I laugh at the concept anyway.

Awesome Justin, you blue yourself!

I decided to be creative this year, really think outside the box.

Then I saw "Aww, screw it," and decided to be Freddy Krueger.

Fred Flintstone. No kid that I handed out candy to knew what who it was and one girl asked if I was a clown.

I pretty much had the same outfit this year. I have done this general design 8 years running now.

Completely in agreement about the Term Limits. It's supposed to be Public Service, not the Gravy Train. (and if they take any more of our tax money, they'll probably build a LITERAL gravy train out of it.)
