I just heard the Rick Astley/Nirvana one for the first time yesterday. I LOVE these mash-ups. Really creative. I would buy whole CDs of them if they were, you know, legal and for sale in stores.
I like the Kylie Minogue/New Order mash "Can't Get Blue Monday Out of My Head"
Originally posted by StaggerLeeAfter the big Nirvana/Ric Astley video started going around, I was looking into some other mashups. I really, REALLY thought this one was great.
Blondie and the Doors.
That......has no business working as well as it does.
No idea where it came from, and I can't find it on YouTube, but there's a mashup of Depeche Mode's "Strangelove" with New Order's "Bizarre Love Triangle" that's awesome.
The United State of Pop, both 2007 (djearworm.com) and 2008 (djearworm.com), by DJ Earworm. They are mash-ups of the Top 25 songs on Billboard each year; 2007 is particularly awesome.

Oh, yeah, Girl Talk's good. Haven't listened to Feed the Animals, but Night Ripper's got some great moments, especially the first minute of, erm, "Minute By Minute" (throwing Ying Yang Twins over "Around the Way Girl" and "I Keep Forgettin'"). It's his fault (on "Smash Your Head") I can't hear the beginning of "Oh Bondage, Up Yours" without expecting the guitars from "Sugar, We're Goin' Down". Gee, thanks Gregg. (hmph)
Oh, and as for traditional mashups, "The Ghost That Feeds" (NIN/Ray Parker Jr.)... here it is over the video for "Separate Ways (Worlds Apart)" (youtube.com) for no apparent reason.
Somewhere I found a remix of Snap's "Rhythm is a Dancer" with "Whenever, Wherever" by Shakira. I enjoyed it heartily. http://jirob.cjb.net/ might have it.
I love Go Home Productions. His mashup of "Paperback Writer" (which Paul really rocked at Citi Field, BTW) and "Daydream Believer" has a great video, too.
His real masterpiece, though, is "Silly Love Songs" mashed with Eminem's "Without Me". Really, they should have made it an official remix and pushed it to radio--would've been huge. The video is nothing special, and it's actually different from the original version of the mashup, which doesn't have any McCartney vocals, but it will give you an idea.
Thanks StaggerLee. I went to the site and it worked.
Thanks everyone for sharing. These are quite entertaining. I've discovered that AC/DC's "Back in Black" can be mashed with just about anything, especially rap.
As Tracy Jordan would say, I love this thread so much, I wanna take it behind the middle school and get it pregnant!
