When I worked at a daily newspaper, I was the only guy in the copy room whose girlfriend/wife would let him watch wrestling on a regular basis. I also lurked on online sites for wrestling news. I started a weekly wrestling update email for my coworkers and used the name to show I was tracking what happened on the mats.

That lead to a regular recap on the paper's website which in turn lead to a wrestling column in the Lakeland Ledger's weekend tabloid.

A curse of happenstance. I WAS a fan of the toys and cartoon growing up, and I didn't make the name connection until a year into the run of the column.

About the time I posted for the first time ever on a message board I was writing a (horrible) play and I decided to name a character Krakken. The year was 2000.

GRL is just a shortened set of initials, though not for me... for my LONG LONG LONG ago efed character's name.

If I posted here more frequently, I think I'd probably want something funnier, like my favorite W username - Evil Antler God.

My friends and I always "create ourselves" in the Smackdown video game series. I am Adam Mayhem, thus my Username ...

And I won't even get into the league that we had called "DEAR GOD WRESTLING" ...

About 10 years ago, I was a detailer at a car dealership in town. I had a boombox in my washrack that I almost always had country music playing on. The mechanics there started callin me JimBob Skeeter cuz of my love of country. It's stuck with me since then. From time to time, I run into one of them (grocery store, county fair, bar, etc.) and I hear "JIMBOB SKEETER~!" yelled thru the crowd and laugh when I see them. Heck, my two best friends who write/create/produce radio jingles in town here have actually came up with a song titled "JimBob Skeeter" that they have about half done. I can't wait to hear it.

Me and a bunch of my friends at work were bored one day, and someone came up with this question:

"If you decided to be a porno actor, what would your name be ?"

When it was my turn to give my answer, I chose "KEVIN TRIPOD" off of the top of my head.

My work buddies evidently thought it was so amusing that to this day everyone at work calls me "Tripod" for almost the last 10 years.

Mine actually comes from the The W itself, specifically this thread (The W). The first post's description of Kurt Angle I thought was so awesome and so spot-on that I decided to make that part of the ideal. Alpha Male was just absurdly pretentious, so I tried to dial it down a bit and went with the catchier Alpha Dog.

Nora Dunn used to do a "french" character who used to tease hair while working herself up to climax while taking about the everyday...that's where the Babette comes from... The "Savant" comes from an evening long ago while under the influences of various contraband substances... friends were amazed that I could answer various movie trivia questions in my compromised state... so instead of calling me "idiot savant" they tacked on the "savant" to "Babette"...

When my brother was in high school some of his friends gave him the nickname of toast (a long, stupid story). Naturally, they called me, the little sister, Toast Jr. I had long since forgotten about that until junior high when I was trying to get on a BBS, but every username I could think of was taken. I finally remembered Toast Jr and went with that. For the past 15 years it has always been available when I need a username for anything.

I don't understand how the bars bother people. Within minutes of starting a movie your mind filters them out and you don't see them. I mean if you were watching on a 14" or something I could see it maybe.
