It didn't hit me THAT hard, but it is the first movie in a LONG time to make me tear up. Judging by the sniffles, most of the adults in my theater were tearing up too.

Even though it doesn't look exactly the same, I want a stuffed Kevin now.

The conclusion of that sequence isn't what got me.
It's when later in the movie he FINALLY goes past the page that says "future adventures" It was SO awesome to see those pictures. Made me happy & sad at the same time.

I'm catching up on movies that I wanted to see but missed.

Reign Over Me with Adam Sandler and Don Cheadle.

This just may be the saddest movie I ever saw.
Your heart will break for Sandler's 9/11 widower. That man is seriously underrated as a dramatic actor (also Funny People, and Punch Drunk Love)

I've told countless people about Reign Over Me but nobody ever believes me that it's good.

Lloyd: When I met Mary, I got that old fashioned romantic feeling, where I'd do anything to bone her.
Harry: That's a special feeling.

I just saw Schindler's List for the first time last week. I teared up a little throughout the movie but at the end when the stones were being placed on his grave ... I guess I didn't know exactly what I was seeing and when I realized exactly who they were ... well you know.

I was a complete wreck during Toy Story 3. The dog, being all old now made me think of my dog. Then the final scene.

Up is a big time tear jerker.

Brian's Song. The speech.

Fox and the Hound. Totally gets me with the theme of friend's growing apart and the innocence of childhood and the bullshit that growing up brings to the table.

Now that we have the Toy Story 3 DVD, I just saw the Andy/Bonnie scene at the end for the third time and it STILL made my eyes watery and throat lumpy.

Between that and the scene in UP, Pixar needs some kind of special achievement Oscar. They are the masters of computer animated storytelling.

Also caught some of The Truman Show on cable this weekend and forgot what an incredibly touching performance Jim Carrey put in there. Great movie.

Inside Out. My wife and I are going through some issues with our 11 year old daughter, and it just hit us hard when she comes back at the end. Both were teary.

Also Blue Valentine just fucking kills me.

My kids and I watched Up again and it still makes me cry. Even knowing what is coming makes me cry.

I remember when I saw it in the theater, even the Pixar short Stormy Weather made me cry.

Reign Over Me got me too.

But Schindler's List remains the saddest movie I have seen. My daughter had to watch it for a high school class and I watched it with her and just felt awful at the end. I don't think I can watch it again. It is just so heavy and depressing. It was an outstanding movie and needed to be made, I just can't sit through it again.

The Champ was also one that got me too.

Life is hilariously cruel.

It ain't the six minutes... it's what happens in that six minutes.

I....declare.....BANKRUPTCY!!!!

The in-laws love Balderdash. That's why I know what a "haha" is. Haha! I'll add a shout-out to Tribond as well. My college friends (two couples), my wife, and I played that at get-togethers and we mopped up. That was a lot of fun.
