Nearly every national chain nowadays has a credit card where you get at least a couple % rebate.
Shell Mastercard (5%) CITGO Mastercard (4%) Cenex Visa (3%) Philips 66/Conoco/76 Mastercard (3%)
I've seen people (usually the elderly) get every possible credit card they can, so that they can use the card at what ever station they find the lowest price at.
