I never have and probably never will catch on with the phenomenon that is Pokemon. In fact, I haven't heard much about it lately, so the fad must be fading. But, I was reminded of it tonight when I visited the slash wrestling forums for the first time ever. So what's the big thing with it?

I used to play Magic: The Gathering. I quit before it became really commercial and before they made new expansions sets every friggin' month. The last time I played, Mirage was just coming out. I'm just stating that to say that I'm not bashing Pokemon. I just don't get it. I, too, was once a card playing gamer nerd.

I was also surprised to see that CRZ was still doing RAW reports on his own site. I used to read most of his stuff at WrestleManiacs and then at Wrestleline. I thought when he quit at Wrestleline he quit for good. Guess not. Anyway, it's cool to see you're still doing recaps, CRZ. I also do RAW recaps for a site, and I was wondering how long it takes you to do a recap? What program do you use and all that stuff.

Wow, that was like, three different topics in one.

It's a big dumb stupid cartoon that I love. That's it. Now you know.

I used to play Magic: The Gathering. I quit before it became really commercial and before they made new expansions sets every friggin' month. The last time I played, Mirage was just coming out. I believe Kenny McCormick said it best about Magic when he said.....er....whatever it was he said. ;-)

I was also surprised to see that CRZ was still doing RAW reports on his own site. I used to read most of his stuff at WrestleManiacs and then at Wrestleline. Due to my anal-retentive nature and microscopic eye for detail, it usually takes me between three and four hours to recap a two hour WWF show. (I usually try to slot these hours to coincide with multitasking time during work.)

I don't use a "program" per se - just a text editor (at work) or Word (on the laptop) in text-only mode, allowing me to hand dip all my HTML just like the fine candymaker creates chocolate covered cherries.

I'm in the middle of a mini-vacation, so you'll have to excuse me for not taking the extra time out to make this answer sound even more pretentious. ;-)

It's TEAM ROCKET!!!!!!!!!!!!....they steal the show. The whole show has good humor (I loved the firing squad episode). Although I admit I'm getting bored b/c Pikachu electrocutes Team Rocket into the sky nearly every episode and they have the crap pokemons.

I'll jump on the Team Rocket bandwagon. They're just...cool. They're the inept villains that KNOW they're completely terrible, but keep trying anyway. Brock is another character that I like. It's also kind of funny to watch Ash be surprised at EVERY thing that anyone tells him. The kid has no brain.

Plus, that one episode where Pikachu is carrying around a ketchup bottle is pretty fricking cute.

I'm going to leave while I have some degree of my masculinity intact.

Heh. I'm in the same hopeless nerd boat as CRZ.

I'm addicted to Pro Wrestling, I'm addicted to Pokemon, and I'm completely and totally addicted to spending absurd amounts of money on music.

The Pokemon thing? Well, for me, it started in the summer of '99, when Burger King did the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" Pokemon Kids Meal Toy Promotion. They had 57 toys, and in the commercials, they stressed the "Gotta Catch 'Em All" tag ... My roomie and I took it as a direct challenge to our manhood, so off we went to "Catch 'Em All." Ever since then, I've been completely stuck on Pokemon. I've got a few Game Boy Games (Pinball, the Blue RPG and the Card Game), the Puzzle League N64 game, about 17 tapes of Pokemon cartoon episodes, tons of Pokemon cards, enough Poke-toys to sink a battleship and a Pokemon blanket that I use every night.

Worse yet was the fact that I got my ex-girlfriend totally hooked on this Poke-obsession, too. We still talk every so often, thanks to our current attempts at reconciliation, and she's always telling me how her friends call her a nerd because she goes off on Pokemon-knowledge tirades every so often.

Dude, kick ass picture there of Ryan O'Reilly, the single coolest tweener character ever on anything in the history of stuff. If any character in wrestling were ever that well written he would blow the rest of the industry away.

"You used it to shove your miserable daughter down our throats week in and week out...not anymore!" - Ric Flair gives me hope, Raw 3/18/02

"I thought it was cool how HHH just tossed Jericho out of the ring and made him vanish, possibly into another dimension, at the end of the match." - Dr. Unlikely says the funniest thing I've ever read on Wienerville.
