I have just returned from a self imposed exile of several months from wrestling forums and was amazed to find that the topic of conversation is still that Triple H sucks. "HHH uses his power", "HHH sucks", "HHH is holding my favourite wrestler down". What the hell? Isn't there anything better to say, such as "John Cena looks promising", "Chris Jericho is great", "HHH's long title run legitamises the championship", "Christian rules". The most amazing thing is the consensus that Goldberg deserves the title. In my own opinion, I would rather have any other member of the Raw roster with the title.

I know that HHH is not the wrestler he was, he has injuries, and he is almost certainly using some degree of political power obtained by his upcoming wedding to Stephanie, but he is a far better champion than Goldberg would be. Just compare them:
Workrate: HHH
Personality: HHH
Mic Skills: HHH
Actual Wrestling Ability: HHH

The facts speak for themselves, but yet people still savage HHH. So I ask you, will SOMEONE explain to me in clear, comprehensible English why HHH is so despised (even more than Goldberg)?

Actually, I've felt that Goldberg has more than carried his own as far mic work and personality the past several weeks. Sure, he's not a world-class worker, but he has no problem displaying his personality. And, besides, the fans have gotten behind him and want to see him in the main-events. And isn't that what counts most?

There's no credible faces left on RAW that could take the title off of Triple H because he already proved his vast superiority over all of them in the past nine months.

There's always the fact that Triple H is hobbling around on a badly injured groin that forced the change of the SummerSlam Main Event and multiple house show Main Events against Goldberg.

Goldberg is pretty much the only choice to take the title off Triple H at this point. What does he have over HHH? Raw physical charisma, presence, and marketability. At the very least it'll be something different then the fans get behind a babyface in the chase, only for him to lose to HHH and get lost back in the midcard.

Pretty much all of the defenders of Triple H's super long title run around here said that in the end, a new person would defeat him and become a huge star. That in the end, it would create a new superstar. Goldberg's already a superstar. So much for that reason...

We're all just sick of him. That's all it is.

Jesus himself could come down and win the title, but after a year or so of doing absolutely shit with it, we'd still start staring at our watches saying "Dammit, just give the damn thing up already".

Still waiting for that big Jesus/Judas blowoff match, but I digress.

Goldberg wouldn't be my first choice to dethrone HHH. That would've happened long ago, with either Chris Jericho, RVD or (best of all) Booker T back at Wrestlemania. Nevertheless, Goldberg still presents something different from the neverending HHH reign, so I'm in favour of switching the belt now.

....provided that Goldberg loses the belt to Kane, not right back to HHH in two months.

I believe they had a texas lynching match, and initially, it was a double countout, but Jesus made it back in the ring before the three (day) count.

Dude, there are plenty of answers to your question within your very own post. What gives? Sorry but this almost sounds like, "I like HHH, so I don't understand how anyone could have the audacity not to, no matter what their reasons." Well, you sound like the average HHH apologist, well the type that isn't denying any and all evidencce thrown in his face..so credit there.

Personally I could care less about either Goldberg or HHH holding the belt in the grand scheme of things. Neither do much more for me than the other, but Goldberg: 1. Is something newer. 2. Doesn't seem evidently to be abusing any political power so far...well unless you count the attitude, but a bad attitude doesn't necessarily=political pull.

See, as a fan of a "certain other" smark target, I should be able to sympathize with the "isolate" HHH lovers..except for the fact that there are a TON of your kind and only maybe 2 of mine. But you guys tend to come off just as annoying as the HHHaters.

There really is no reason to ask why people hate him at this point. I don't question the fact that the people who get all up in arms about anyone wishing ill on HHH's marriage have no qualms about wishing ill on "this other"'s physical well-being, among other things(but I might bitch). Why? Because people will hate who they hate(the Kliq) no matter what. They are convicted in their reasoning for the HHHate(much of which hasn't been outproven).

Now please quit being naive.
-Oh yeah, I'm in a bad mood, so don't take my bitchiness too personally.

Judas' got his, though. Rest assured. :-)

As much as I love the Lord, I wonder really if He could make a promo that could keep the masses entertained. :-)

Wow, from HHH/Goldberg to God's charisma.

Personally I love the fact that HHH has been champion this long, it gives the belt some credibility, Where on SM! the title changes hands like every month. HHH losing the belt will be big and Goldberg will be more over than he has ever been in the WWE.

Very good point, TSB. How long do you think Lesner will keep the title? Two, three weeks? A month? A year? Highly doubtable.

We all know what's going to happen...HHH will lose the title and gain it back against whomever is holding it at Wrestlemania XX. His first minutes back will be as a babyface, and he'll turn his back on someone and become a boring heel again, and the circle turns again.

Hers my prediction:

Lesnar loses to Kurt at the next SM PPV, then Kurt loses to Big Show. Big Show loses in a Triple threat to Kurt, thus begining the whole cycle again.

I gotta disagree with that. Kurt and Brock have made that belt much more credible by wrestling their asses off. They've put over the fact that there is no margin for error in a title match and that you have to be at the absolute top of your game to win that title. Yeah, it gets passed back and forth a lot, but they've been winning it by being legitimately better than the other guy on that night.

Whereas on RAW, HHH makes the belt look like a joke. Getting himself DQ'ed, winning with a friggin' SLEDGEHAMMER, etc, makes your champion look extremely weak. Worse yet, these guys that HHH barely gets by are completely depushed as soon as they lose. It makes them look like they aren't even real contenders.

Him losing the belt won't be big for me because I lost interest long ago.

I think the anti-HHH sentiment, while still very much alive, has died down over the last few months or so. At least, I think I've been ripping on HHH less. He's still pulling the same shit, and it's still hurting business, but so many other problems are going on with WWE.

I can say that, at least on my part, while I still do think that HHH's relationship with Stephanie destroyed morale, created storylines nobody liked, and ruined the careers of several promising talents, that WWE has problems far beyond HHH now. The damage has been done and WWE is doing a poor job of recovery.

We've seen Brock and Angle exchange the WWE title, what, 5 times now? The number is probably lower, but I don't care. That's my point. Why did Lesnar just win the title again? So he can feud with the Undertaker? Weren't we just watching that feud a year ago with the same people in the same roles?

There's nothing new going on these days, and even if there is, there isn't a lot of thought put into it.

I didn't mean to turn this into an anti-Brock rant or anything, but SMACKDOWN! has just as many problems as RAW does. And that's without HHH sticking his nose (HA!) in things.

Or maybe he is.

HHH isn't WWE's biggest problem anymore.

For unforgiven, I hope HHH wins over Goldberg and then HHH feuds with Kane as HHH is FACE and Kane as HEEL (for the next P.V.P.) Winner of the match has the title until Wrestle Mania 20.

Then it would be

Bret Hart vrs. HHH/Kane for the title. If HHH won the title from Kane it would be the loosing streak of HHH and if Kane won the match it should be the end of Kane's reign of fire. So Bret Hart is crowned the new
World Heavy Weight Champion.

Thats my prediction.

Thank you for your time,
Fan of Kane, James

Especially since in the pre-show package, HHH talked about Goldberg's time in WCW, beating "nobody after nobody"...and there's the footage of Goldy spearing Bret Hart.

Leave it to WWE to never, eeeeeeeeeeever miss an opportunity to stick it to the ol' Hitman, eh?

I think you are overreacting just a tad. HHH was being a prick heel saying how Goldberg hasn't beaten anyone of note. But WWE video production put in some big names in the footage to show HHH is full of crap and Goldberg has been in the ring with some of the top names therefore giving some credibility going into this World title match.

IIRC, along with Bret in that piece they had Goldberg beating on Hogan and Sting. Hogan being a top 2 or 3 name in wrestling history and Sting was the babyface franchise for a decade in WCW, I'd hardly call them nobodies... If Bret was lumped in the video package with Glacier and Jerry Flynn then it'll be a different story and I'd find that as a slap in the face
