It's steroids, as mentioned earlier in the thread.
Anyhow, Sin Cara has been a monster flop to say the least.
He's sold a metric ton of merchandise. That is actually important to WWE.

Plus, he's been a flop by whose standards? The IWC's? Kids are a very important part of WWE's core audience, and he has popularity in that demographic. Heck, I saw a kid come into my video store the other day wearing a WWE T-shirt with several wrestlers' pictures on it, and when I asked him who his favorite wrestler was, he said "Sin Cara". (Not that that's exactly a scientific survey).

Looks like we may have SIN the last of SIN CARA
For those who CARA 'bout him, that is. Sorry...I couldn't resist!
I still think that the mask is cool, but the special effects during the matches have to go. The lighting makes it hard to see. Has anyone caught a live show he's performed at? How does the blue light translate live?

Do you really think internet reaction - which has probably only been mixed, at worst - has/will play any part in his future with the company? I'm not sure that they've even actively sought out internet opinion on Sin Cara, and if they have, I really doubt that HHH of all people will suddenly yield to internet opinion when it comes to one of their big new signings. If he doesn't come back, it's going to come down to what some person or peresons internally have felt about the guy since before he got on the air and how the events leading up to the suspension let them spin his situation.
I continue to think the only real problem with Sin Cara is that they start with a presentation of "Look how mysterious this guy is!" - something they've never done with Misterio, even though that's technically his gimmick - when they should be starting with the approach of "Whoa, look at how this guy moves, and by the way, here's his mask you can buy!" | John Orquiola

Thanks, guy who failed a drug test and then "told them that he could provide a doctor's note for whatever it was that he failed for, and after being given a good deal of time to produce it he was either unable to, or they were not happy with what it was that he produced."
Still, seems no point to not bringing him back. He's already over and he already sells a lot of merchandise.

The payoff spot in the next ladder match featuring Del Rio and Misterio should be the two of them perched atop a ladder, Del Rio reaching up for whatever is suspended above them, and Misterio pulling out a Dos Caras mask and shoving it on Alberto's head, causing Alberto to cover his masked face in a panic and lose the match. | spf

At the MITB show the children in my section all seemed absolutely crazy for Sin Cara. From his first appearance to his unfortunate passing at the hands of Sheamus, they were screaming for him pretty much the whole time, except when they were hating on Cody Rhodes.

But even better is the Yahoo Babelfish translation (babelfish.yahoo.com) of the article in the Mexican newspaper. Nuance is humorously lost in the direct translation.

That settles it. The next live WWE Event I attend at which he's performing, I will start a "Without Face" chant during his match.

If true, this guy is almost insistent on making his life harder.

There's a messy backstory between that reporter and Sin Cara - that's why the MP3 is there, to prove no quotes are being invented - and WWE threatening to totally cut them off might not be enough to drop it.
What they did drop is a shorter version of the article, which included a Sin Cara quote said he wasn't on "asteroids", along with a gentle mocking of him not knowing the right word. That part looks to be scrubbed out of the longer version too.
I'm sure WWE was really unhappy about Sin Cara talking about it in the first place.
An injection to a knee (or a join) is usually Cortisone, which is a kind of steroid. It is not the kind of steroid that would give you a positive test. He's making stuff up, no different than most people who get caught.
