You can say "Vince has written off Sin Cara" but it turns out to have a different connotation. This explains Sheamus trying to murder him and the stretcher job at MITB.
Sin Cara does absolutely nothing for me ... granted I'm not really familiar with his work as Mistico, but I've yet to really see one redeeming quality in the guy ... I'd much rather see Tyson Kidd or Evan Bourne.
WWE.com story drops Sin Cara's real name. That's going to inflame things.
CMLL doesn't drug test. They occasionally say they do, but the most they do is stop you from going to the ring if you appear to be way out of it. (And sometimes they haven't done that.)
Anyway, currently in CMLL, Averno was to finish up a couple weeks ago to head up here. Except, instead of dropping his title to wrap up, Averno instead ended up winning another one, giving every impression he's going to be around for quite some time. This has caused me to lose some sleep, and now I'm wondering if his change of status is related to this situation or even simply his own version of this situation. Averno is not a jacked muscular dude, but body type is not an accurate testing method and you've got to pass a test to get in.

I doubt this will impact Triple H's position in the company, and lets be honest; he does have a good head for the business. But I agree with you that he probably wants to smash up Sin Cara good.
Based on what Cubs is saying, makes you wonder if CMLL knew more than most did.
After a (very) long hiatus, I have begun to write again. And this time, I'm not alone!

I am shocked that there are still guys on the roster doing this kind of thing. I wonder if they found out a few weeks ago and that's why Christian handed him his first loss and they just put off suspending him until after MITB.
Hopefully it wasnt something major and Sin Cara will realize he cant fuck around in WWE, considering the huge push he's gotten he really shouldn't be...
He's made me and a couple of my friends fans, so I'm rooting for him.
I am getting nothing done today. Here's the time line.
Sin Cara lost to SmackDown on the 07/01 TV show, his first loss, losing to Christian. That was at least random and probably a bit backwards; Christian needed a win, but why end the winning streak in such an unnoteworthy way?
Same day, in Mexico, Averno won his match, which made no sense since he was clearly going to lose his last match on July 4th, dropping his title belt and leaving town. Except then he did NOT lose that match and kept his title and nothing made sense until today.
And now we have this

Sources close to WWE confimed a PW Insider story that the test failure was some time back. He may not be brought back.
Failing a drug test in early June may mean that's when he took the test; give it a couple weeks to come back, and all the sudden booking decisions change by the end of June. About the same time Averno is losing his mask in preparation to go the WWE, his good friend is failing a drug test and maybe costing both of them their jobs. This is horrible.
For a good laugh go to WWE.com and look at the headlines in the right side bar. They have the story of Sin Cara being suspended right below the story of Sin Cara being injured at MITB, keeping him out of action for 'at least four weeks'
This whole thing might end with Sin Cara gone just because theyve made such a mess of the whole thing; Vince or whoever might just want to get the whole thing out of his hair.

I guess you didn't learn from Funaki getting caught previously :)
This really did become a mess. I would like to see him get another shot, but I do really hate the persona they have given him. Is that similar to how he was as Mistico? His mask was a lot cooler as Misticio, at least looking at the pictures. I hate the Sin Cara mask, and I really don't like that flippy finishing move either. So, I guess I won't really miss him if he never comes back, but it isn't good for other Mexican wrestlers that want to take a crack at the WWE.
I want to enjoy Sin Cara, but I have the feeling I'm too old.
I really feel they want to push him for kids. That isn't in and of itself bad, but I don't care for the lighting, or the trampoline entrance, or his flippy moves.
I thought they might be on to something when it looked like he was going to be involved with Cody, Danielson, and Ted - but that went by the wayside (now I wonder if that abandonment the result of his test or something else).

Really, hasn't the WWF gone with the same 4 or so marquee stars for the last 2-3 years already? I believe someone pointed out in a thread a while back that you have to go back to Dec.
