There was a blurb in our sports section of the Sunday paper where Steve Alford echoed my own sentiments about this movie being WAAAAYYYYYY overhyped. He was moaning about watching a lot of games of opponents that were taped off of ESPN and having to sit thru what seemed like hours of promos for this movie. He lived it, and is tired of it. I agree.
I also heard the author, John Feinstein (SP?) on a morning radio show a few weeks ago and he is distancing himself and his book from this apparent turd.
I'm torn, because if they weren't beating me over the head with promos, I'd probably watch the movie, but because I'm so annoyed with the promos, I feel like I shouldn't watch on principle. I mean, don't I put up with enough of that from the WWF??
He was cut to allow him to take care of his sick daughter. Pretty impressive move by the organization, allowing him to possibly go to another team in a city where she may receive the care she needs. Total class move by Utah. http://sports.espn.go.
