according to the cruiserweight title history in that other thread Jericho was a cruiserweight champion. i didn't know that Chris Jericho was a cruiserweight champion! that makes him an even more unique individual because with the cruiserweight title being the wwe's new lightweight title, he has now held every WWE/F title that he was ever eligible for, plus he's part of a select few undisputed champions

(1st) WWE undisputed champion (1)
IC champion (4)
Euro champion (1)
Tag team Champion (3)
Hardcore champion (1)
& the cruiserweight champion (1)

And now that most of those titles have been abolished there is only ONE man who can equal this feat in any shape or form in the WWE or at all.

ladies and Gentlemen i can only hold my breath because as these two strive towards tag team history together, it is only a matter of time before the WWE has a lapse in stupidity and makes the smart move of putting the title around CHRISTIAN's waist.

This thread of coarse finally reaches a point, in that...

*What would be a good name for Jericho's status as the only man who is better then a Grand Slam champion?

the 6-sided champion???

(in case it comes up, he was the third GS champion behind HBK and then HHH)

A few things in there that I'd like to add, some to pad Jericho, others to lower Christian. Jericho was the WCW TV Champion at least once, and the WCW/World Champion at least twice. So, now we've got:

Undisputed WWE Champion (that's how it was originally said...stupid Lillian Garcia): 1
WCW/World Heavyweight Champion: 2+
WWE Intercontinental Champion: 4
WWE Tag Team Champion: 3
WWE European Champion: 1
WCW Television Champion: 1+
WWE Hardcore Champion: 1
WCW/WWE Cruiserweight Champion: 1+

That's impressive. Christian, on the other hand, can't do this. If you'll take a look....

WWE Intercontinental Champion: 1 (maybe 2)
WWE European Champion: 3 (I think)
WWE Tag Team Champion: 8
WWE Light Heavyweight Champion: 1
WWE Hardcore Champion: 1 (WrestleMania X8)

I don't know if he held the WCW Tag Titles before feuding with Edge, but I'm inclined to think not. He can't get the Undisputed Title because it's, well, disputed again, so the best he can do there is a World Heavyweight Title reign. That would put him almost on Jericho's level, but I'm sad to say, I don't think they'll be the only ones there. Guess who else? Come on, guess. Fine; I'll tell you.

Triple H

Undisputed WWE Champion: 1
WWE Champion: 5 (maybe 4)
WCW/World Heavyweight Champion: 1
WWE Intercontinental Champion: 5+
WWE European Champion: 3+
WWE Tag Team Champion: 1

Plus he might have held the WCW TV title during his WCW days. Or how about....

Kurt Angle

WWE Champion: 2
WCW/World Heavyweight Champion: 1
WWE Intercontinental Champion: 1+
WCW United States Champion: 1+
WWE European Champion: 1+
WWE Tag Team Champion: 1
WWE Hardcore Champion: 1

Plus he can get his hands on the Cruiserweight Title whenever he feels like beating the crap out of Jamie Noble. Now, we move on to guys who can't even get a Grand Slam, some of them more surprising than others.

The Rock

Undisputed WWE Champion: 1
WWE Champion: 5+
WCW/World Heavyweight Champion: 2+
WWE Intercontinental Champion: 2+
WWE Tag Team Champion: 1

Stone Cold Steve Austin

WWE Champion: 6+
WWE Intercontinental Champion: 3+
WCW United States Champion: 1
WWE Tag Team Champion: 2+

Wow, that's a lot of numbers. Putting a nice cap on this huge thing, I say that we should crown King Chris Jericho (of the World) the Beltopus.

Why do I watch? Because every episode has the potential to be the best one ever, and I'll be DAMNED if I'm gonna miss that one after sitting through this shit.

Yeah, i remember it quite distinctly, at the time he was still the babyface Lionheart Chris Jericho, and the nWo had invaded and had taken all the belts (except maybe the tv title) and Syxx was cruiserweight champion. If I remember my other post correctly Syxx's title reign was like third longest. Then Jericho beat him in what was a pretty big upset I thought becuase Jericho was pretty much a nobody up to that point. And believe he was the first one to bring a WCW title back to the WCW.

Unfortunately he then feuded with Alex Wright and lost the title to him a few weeks later.

And then in another title reign he took Rey Mysterio and Juvy's masks (I think) and proclaimed that Prince Nakamaki (Iaukea) was too fat for the cruiserweight title, and had a great feud with Dean Malenko. Atleast I think these are when he was Cruiserweight Champ, they might have also been when he was TV Champ.

The lightheavyweight and cruiserweight belts were never unified, and thus your claims of Jericho holding the pipsqueak belt in WW(E)F cannot be substantiated.

Didn't the Light-Heavy belt die with Xpac? Doesn't the cruiser belt hold the lineage from the old WCW, since it was brough it in the InVasion?

"HHH, you should probably do the job here to put RVD over for the good of the company." "Vince, I'm just a caveman! I was out hunting when I fell in some ice and was unfrozen by your scientists. Your future world frightens and confuses me. You say these words like "job" and "put over" and "good of the company" but my primative mind can't grasp these concepts!"---Vince Mcmahon/Unfrozen Caveman Wrestler, Dr. Unlikely 17.9.02

Christian is not eligible for the same feat as Jericho, as Christian held WWF's verson of the cruiser title, not the current WCW version. So Christian's lineage is nowhere near as impressive, as the WWF Light Heavy title was pretty much a joke. However, if you are counting that belt, then Jeff Hardy is also capable of pulling it off He's been IC, Euro, Hardcore, Tag AND Light Heavy champ-all he needs is a World Title reign.

I'll settle for calling Jericho "Master Of The Universe" myself.

"Oh yeah...!"
Hmm,Yes Chris Jericho "Master of the Universe" Has a nice ring to it.

Also Surprisingly if the Euro title wasn't gone Kane is one belt away from the Grand Slam status.

Also HBK is a Grandslam winner.

Mattitude(ma't-e-toodeh'): Mattitude, is something that can not be taught or learned. Mattitude is something that burns within. In the ring, Mattitude is the intangible, the x-factor, that gives Matt Hardy Ver.1 an advantage over everyone else.

Shin Strife has Mattitude...

I beg to differ on the fact that christians light-heavyweight title doesn't count for as much as Jerichos.

Christian won the L/HW title when it was the only title that differentiated from the heavyweight title by weight. This puts it on equal footing with the CW title in significance even though its lineage is (admittedly) very weak in comparison.

Also i am only counting titles that have stood alone in the WWE so all titles that were floating around during the InVasion don't really count and the only reason the Cruiserweight title is included is because it is now the only Light/weight style title left in the WWE so it is standing alone and therefore is eligible.

Titles that aren't included in the "Champion Royale with Cheese" (SamZim, this is absolute gold! hats off to you) are as follows.

WCW TV title
WCW heavywieght title(although the current World Heavyweight Title counts since it is now an official title for WWE. whether it carries the WCW title lineage due to the name change I don't know)
WCW tag titles
WCW U.S title
WCW HC title

WWF title/WWE Undisputed title/WorldHeavywieght title (all equal, even the Undisputed title because it was still the major championship of the organisation and forever more only Jericho can claim to have done anything extraordinary to get it, even if it is undisputed)
WWF/E IC Championship
WWF/E Euro Championship
WWE World heavyweight Tag team Champions (which carries the WWF tag title lineage)
WWE Tag titles (smackdown) (no lineage)
WWF LHW championship (lineage ends with X-pac and legitimacy AFTER this is nullified)
WWE Cruiserweight Championship (due to it being the same title as WCW's version and it now standing alone as the WWE's other weight title it's lineage is now included in the "Champion Royale with Cheese" (Again SamZim, brilliant stuff)

and yeah i s'pose Jeff Hardy could get it but i'd be kicking my TV if he beat Christian to it.

If Kurt decides to take the CW title then i'd have no problem crowning him the 2nd Champion Royale with Cheese, but i don't think Kurt's frying pan can take a fish that small. his sights are on Benoit and then Brock.

Once again, on a tangent...Chris Jericho has done something else historic that not many people might realize. In 1985, Paul Orndorff main-evented WrestleMania; in 1986, he was the curtain-jerker for WrestleMania II. In 2001, Jericho curtain-jerked WrestleMania XVII; in 2002, he main-evented WrestleMania XVIII. Thus, whatever else Jericho may be, he is definitely the anti-Orndorff (or you could say he's definitely not Mr. Wonderful). One more bit of Jericho near-history. Had Jericho walked out of this year's Mania with the World Title, he'd have become the only man to have walked out of WrestleMania with the Euro, IC, and World titles in successive years (2000, 2001, 2002).
