I'm going to be watching the Bobby Knight movie. I think they should have waited at least a year to do a 9/11 special.. if not longer. It just seems wrong to do it so early.

Originally posted by DrewDewceI realize this will probably paint me as incredibly shallow, but I'll be watching FOX for the new Star Wars trailer . . .
Here in Canada, since Global has the rights to air Malcolm and X Files, we won't be seeing the FOX feed, we'll be seeing the Global feed which means no Star Wars trailer.
None of the above. Haven't read a good thing yet about the Bobby Knight movie, and I have no interest in watching the 9/11 special. So I'll watch "The Simpsons", then turn off the TV (though I might watch the WWF edition of "Weakest Link" at 10 PM).
Even if I was remotely interested, I refuse to watch the Bobby Knight movie, as I have a thing against helping out something that's been anally raping me for the last 3 1/2 months.
I mean, fer christsakes, they've been advertising the fucking thing since before the goddamned new year!
I'll say this for the Knight movie, they did make the gym look like Assembly Hall with its wacky sloping walls.
Still, two minutes of watching gave me bad flashbacks to the season I did IU games on the campus radio station. It was no picnic, that's for sure.

i did catch a few minutes in between the simpsons commercial breaks. i guess i was the only one who found swearing on espn humorous, especially his explanation of using the word fuck...but it doesn't take much for me.

60 watts? what do you think this is, a tanning salon?
I reversed position over the weekend and didn't watch SOTB. I'm sure it will do great ratings for ESPN, but I just couldn't be party to something that was hyped more than a Wrestlemania.
I did watch the 9/11 docu. Wow. The most jarring part for me was when they were in the lobby and you could hear the crashing outside and they would all jump and then you could see the look of sorrow on their faces. It was eerie.
Of course, I missed most of Bobby DeNiro's intro by watching the Star Wars trailer. I'm still looking forward to the movie, even tho it still looks as if Anakin will be annoying played by Jake Lloyd or not. I found him more annoying that Jar Jar (who I really didn't mind at all).
I got home in time to catch Malcom in the Middle. I think the show is good, I liked the X-Men refrence and the little kids kicking the crap out of one another. The Star Wars trailer was awesome, best trailer for any of the summer films so far. I'm tired of 9-11 and ESPN trying to be anything more than just a sports information network.
As a rapid Star Wars ran there was a ton of small stuff I found interesting like Christopher Lee asking Obi-wan to join him to fight the Sith since Lee is playing the Rouge Jedi, I found that interesting. Overall it looks a hell of lot better than Episode I, I just wish Lucas would stop using cute little characters in major battles. Of course, the small aliens in this one look to be less cute and more sinister. The best part has to be the return of the Destroyer Droids, I love those things. If anything, I'm getting psyched about this one, a week ago, I was nuetral now, I'm starting to get up for this. It also helps the new Jango Fett figure, I bought rules.
I was really ambivalent about SOTB since I was at IU finishing up my Master's when Myles Brand finally decided that Bobby really was a psychopath and fired his worthless ass and I grew up a huge Purdue fan. (I was there at Mackey, which was horribly represented in the movie, when Bobby threw the chair.) I finally decided that I would give it a shot. That was a huge mistake. I lasted about ten minutes before I gave up and put "Shawshank Redemption" into the dvd player and had an enjoyable evening with my wife.

I don't know if I'm in the minority or not to be honest with you. I do think people are tired of all the flag waving and government first thing. I kinda got tired of it when my Dad went on and on about those poor people in New York. Yeah, I feel bad too, but you know what life goes on.
I do want us to got out and get these terrorist cells by any means neccessary. I'll admit its weird I'm tired of the flag waving, but I want some revenge. Odd, I know.
I lived through 9/11 and have had to deal with being in downtown NYC every day since then. I have no interest in Bobby Knight whatsoever. I watched Sidney Bristow and tried to figure out what "The Prophecy" in the Rambaldi Manuscript is on ALIAS.
