My first phone was a Motorola MicroTAC 650 (cellphones.ca) I dropped that phone so many times and it kept working...as opposed to my next Motorola cellphone (a StarTAC) which pretty much died after dropping it once.
So, fellow W's...time to start showing our ages and see what our first phones were!

Then I had the Nokia 3390

Then I jumped carries to Sprint and got the LG 1010, which wasn't bad, and hit had Blackjack and a fun helicopter game.

After a year with Sprint I went back to Cingular and got the Nokia 3100 which was a pretty good phone.
Then I got a Motorola V220

which was a steaming pile of crap, and now I have a black RAZR, which is pretty cool. I wish I'd owned a Zack-phone though.

I managed to remain off the grid from then on, up until about a year ago. Since then my wife has helpfully provided me with a Blackberry, then a Sidekick 3. So I'm actually regressing at this point and may be considered a teenage girl.

The kind you plugged in to the cigarette lighter. I'm sure it is still at my parents house somewhere :-) Mom kept it and used it for the longest time until they had to switch to digital.

That was my first also.
I rarely ever used it, so now I just use a Audiovox 8610 Virgin Mobile pre-paid phone.

It was apparently Nokia's original candy bar shaped handset. It was indeed a brick. | Guru Zim

Was it the Sony that you got from Sprint PCS? I had that one too. I can't think of the name.
That thing was indestructable.

Sprint isn't a cell provider up here, but I remember being amazed that I could store 99 names-who knows that many people? And yeah, it was indestructible. However, it was the size of a small brick, and hard to put in a pocket without people thinking I had a massive...ly good reaction to being where I was. | Jobberman
