I was just trying to think of the last WWE wrester theme that was good. Don't know what happened, but it seems like everything since the Attitude era has sounded pretty much like generic rock music.

I assume that Jim Johnson is still employed, and considering how many classics he churned out (Austin, Rock, etc) you'd think he'd have hit paydirt at least once.

I don't know, I like Alberto Del Rio's, personally. It's pretty fitting for him, and definitely not generic rock music.

Miz's theme is great, Drew's is distinctive. I like Cody's and Kofi's and CM Punk's.

Swagger gets me amped up, while Drew's just seems like a flat-out good song.

McIntyre and Rhodes' are pretty awesome. In fact, I think the Attitude era had MORE generic rock music, whereas now you're hearing actual bands do the theme songs and vocals (Punk's, Drew's, Cody's, Miz's, etc).

I miss Batista's entrance. There are a lot of good ones now, though. More good than bad.

As far as songs that no one mentioned yet... the best thing about Ezekiel Jackson is his entrance.

"This here is called domination..."

I also dug his former cohort and Plinko fan The Brian Kendrick's "Man With A Plan" a lot.

No love for Sheaums' theme? My g/f and I long ago changed the lyrics to "TOO MANY PIES! TOO MANY FRIES!"

Ziggler's "Perfection" is another good one...

Playing SVR2011 has convinced me that Cody Rhodes' theme is genuinely kind of great for what it is. I don't know that it fits the current turn his character has taken, though. Now he needs something halfway between Kane's theme and "American Dream".

Del Rio's is perfect, especially the longer it plays. He needs a full band to play him out on PPVs, and not just a quick three man mariachi group.

I generally have no love for any theme with lyrics that came after around 90-91, and the song itself does nothing for me, but I enjoy the tale told in Orton's theme. It gets very specific about what exactly his relationship is with the voices in his head and takes some strange turns. I really wish they'd flesh out the backstory of these apocalyptic visions of the future that Randy's been granted and the cryptic, dark messiah who has chosen to guide him. I'm betting it's some kind of snake god.

Given some of the other people they've put in for various reasons and that Jimmy Hart's already in, it would be nice to see some kind of Jim Johnston/Rick Derringer dual induction some day. And they could force everybody in the company to get up and do "If You Only Knew 2K11" in tribute.

I agree with this. The only truly awful one is Ted Dibiase's.

Remember when Orton was just an arrogant man who cheated? I always wondered what all of a sudden turned him into a black-souled serial killer of a pro wrestler. Vision received from snake god in 2007, possibly Zuul, probably during and/or causing his hotel-trashing freakout, makes the most sense. From there he just really responded to the way people's skulls felt on his foot.

Yoshi Tatsu's music is tremendous but I don't think they made it themselves.

Sheamus has a distinctive, fitting song. Cody and Ziggler's are good -- they're produced by real bands but instead of a lot of the shouty numetal nuthemes that talk about fighting hard and whatever, they've got throwback over-the-top lyrics about vanity. Nexus' song got kind of anthemic back when they were successfully attacking people. "I'll Be Your End Of Days" not so much.

Deuce & Domino's theme was amazing, it's too bad it was wasted on Deuce & Domino.

My girlfriend and I did the same thing for Matt Hardy's theme when he started getting chunky.

"I just ate a burrito. I just drank a slurpee, yeah..."

My two favorites right now are Cody's and Mark Henry's. I think most of the music right now is pretty good, even if a lot of it seems interchangeably generic there's usually at least one recognizable hook or lyric in each one that distinguishes it and fits the character.

Nous ne nous pouvons pas sortir.
Christian's rock opera and both versions of "Close Your Eyes" with the original being the best.

Mark Henry's theme, MVP's themes, Morrison's theme, Sheamus's. Nexus', etc... there have been a lot of good songs post Attitude.

The only one's that stick out to me are Angle's WWE theme and the Ultimate Warrior's. Also, as much as I hate to say it, evey time "Real American" blared out, especially when he was making an unexpected return, the hair on my arms would stand up.

I actually dug the Corre's theme, at least the version of 'End Of Days' they used at the Royal Rumble. The fact that I heard it played over and over as the guys came out into the match probably was a factor, but it seemed like a quality song. It's been remixed at least twice since then, however, and now it doesn't seem as tight.

"It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone." --- Bart Giamatti, on baseball

When did that footage of Orton buying a gun turn up? Gotta figure it all came together right around then, as it would make sense to arm yourself once you've been warned of the coming end times and the streets running with blood and all that. The thing with Orton is, between The Voices Who Council Him and the rage blackouts they mentioned back when he revealed his struggles with Intermittent Explosive Disorder, there's really only two ways his character arc can payoff for next year's Road to Wrestlemania: he really is guided by a snake god that knows about the 2012 cataclsym or he has a massive, undiagnosed brain tumor.

I do have to admit that I liked the lyrics of his theme a little less when I discovered that the line after "I've seen heroes dying" wasn't "I've seen babies flying."

I always got JBL's theme song stuck in my head and it happened again after his appearance on Monday Night.

The Big Show's music bothered me when he first got it because it didn't fit what they were trying to do with him. It's great for goofy face Big Show who just wants to have a good time until somebody pokes fun at him and he has to pound the shit out of them, which is how most Big Show programs seem to start and I'm perfectly fine with that. I'm still not clear on the lyrics.

Everything about Del Rio's entrance is amazing.

Edge's is by a real band isn't it? That's grown on me.

HBK's theme music always sucked, you just didn't realize it because it slowly wore you down over the years.

Total nothing show. Chase Stevens vs. Abyss: 45-second squash. Abyss has an oxblood mask because Sting stole his other one. After the match, both Shane Douglas and Andy Douglas come out -- huh. Leticia needs to get more sleep.
