WWE has come to terms on the release of ECW Superstar “The Boogeyman” Marty Wright as of today, March 4. WWE wishes Marty the best in all his future endeavors.
Boogeyman was a lot more productive for the WWE than he had any right to be, plus now he is one of those *wacky/wrestlecrap* gimmicks that they can bring up 5 years from now and have a good laugh about.

So, barring his death or a career-ending injury, we should pencil him in for the WM 27 Gimmick Battle Royal?

So it takes 5 years for WWE creative to learn if an idea is bad enough they can make a mockery of it?
Seriously, I'm going to miss Boogeyman, if only for the whole George 'The Animal' Steele effect they were on the cusp of.

Sometimes, someone else's misery is just fine to poke fun at. Especially since I'll not have to see him for the foreseeable future.

Sucks for Marty Wright, but I'm glad to see the Boogeyman gone from my television screen. I would literally change the channel every time he showed up on TV. Getting 8 more minutes of ECW every week is my early birthday present.
I dont think that every single active wrestler needs to be in a long running program, or a feud. As long as I am entertained, I am happy. And for whatever reason, Boogeyman entertained me. It's just a shame they had to bring Kane over to drive him out on a losing note. Couldn't DJ Gabriel or somebody have used a win?

Ditto. The think about the character that really got me was how over the top it was. The time he spent there he'd pop up everywhere.
I loved some of his bits. Like the Goldust/Boogeyman Christmas this past year.
He's was one of those guys you were never sure how long he'd be around but always could give the fans a rise because of just how bizarre the gimmick was. I've compared him to Warrior being one of those wrestlers that wouldn't be to long term. So, anyways, I think he's had fun being out there.

...which is exactly why they should at least consider keeping him on speed-dial for a per-appearance deal. Not sure he could've given anyone a decent rub if only because he wasn't really a threat, per se, just someone the fans noticed.
Sting/Luger's issue is the best. I look forward to hearing the 411 on Mr. Badd. Also, I want to say that I really appreciate how you're covering the 1996 jobber shows along with Nitro.
