I was thinking more like the Ottawa Rough Riders or Houston Oilers.

I liked your first answer better...put him at left guard next to left tackle Colossus to protect Scott Summers' blind side.

Or maybe he can get picked up by some USFL team. I hear they're really in a bind for players these days.

Well if you were a cuddy minor league you'd be in a bind for players.

Well, since no one has seriously addressed the problem, I've heard that he is TRYING OUT for the Minnesota Vikings. Just because he is a big guy, doesn't mean he's gonna make it. I mean, shit there are plenty of guys his size.

Even if he does make it, he is going to have a HUGE target on his back. Players are gonna shoot for the wrasslin' champ. Partly because they would feel insulted that he can just be a "real" athlete whenever he wants to. And partly just cuz some of them watch wrestling and wanna smack him around for fun.

"Huard, gonna go back to throw the ball. Sets up, looks, throws towards the corner of the endzone...it is INTERCEPTED INTERCEPTED, THE DUCKS HAVE THE BALL! Down to the 35, the 40. Kenny Wheaton's gonna score! Kenny Wheaton is gonna score! 20, the 10, Touchdown! Kenny Wheaton on the interception, the most incredible finish to the football game!"

And the Vikings have so far denied that they will have anything to do with Brock Lesnar at this stage of the game. So unless that's changed in the past few days the answer remains the same.

Brock Lesnar probably won't be playing for ANY teams. At least not in the NFL.

Of course, the lack of serious answers (and serious flames!) is the only reason I didn't move this thread to Banished.

I believe the Arena league is looking for guys....

But I did hear that he gave a private workout... I honestly have no verification that these numbers are authentic, I saw them on a message board, and they seem pretty close...
"Lesnar weighed in at 283 pounds, ran a 40-yeard dash in 4.65 seconds, had a vertical leap of 35 inches, a standing long jump of 10 feet, and benched 225 pounds at 30 reps."

I still think he'd need to drop a good 10 pounds unless he's playing a 3-4 DE, see if he doesn't get any quicker if he does drop it off.

Where on Earth did you pull X from, rikidozan??

Not the best football school, but they've had a stellar basketball team for years!

Has there been any speculation on what position Lesnar would be looking to play? I'm toying with the idea of adding him to my current Madden game.

Sports analysts that have cared to speculate (which sure as hell isn't many) have him playing at Defensive End. I added him as such to my Madden, and he was signed by the Steelers. Not that you care or anything, I'm just sayin'.

Well, when I saw those specs, I thought that it really sounded like he could make it. For a DE, 6'4", 283, and a 4.65 40 isn't bad. Now all he has to do is show he can, you know, PLAY FOOTBALL.

Yeah, the stats really only show that he's a heck of an athlete. Which doesn't mean to say he's got any football skills whatsoever. On top of that he's just walked out on one contract which may make one or 2 think twice about taking a chance on him.

If I remember right he flat out poo-pooed the idea of playing in NFL Europe which he seemed to view as a bit beneath him (sure THAT'S gonna please a few prospective team-mates and opponents) so I really can't see him finding anywhere by September.

Oh Excalibur, 2 things.

1. Do you have any desire whatsoever to see him in his prefered choice of the Vikings uniform, and

2. On a far more important note, has he managed to make the Steelers stop sucking so incredibly bad on Madden? I swear I've played through goodness knows how many seasons and they've never gotten above about 5-11.

I dunno, it wouldn't be so bad as a one year novelty thing to see him play some special teams or something. I mean God knows he'd be just as able to play as anybody else on our kickoff coverage team. I have no desire to see him start, however. Even though our defensive line outside Williams and Hovan is...how you say...lacking.

I was fairly generous when I made him (given his high strength, I believe he's an overall 88), but no, he hasn't made them stop sucking. They finished the last year 7-9 and well out of playoff contention (I don't believe I ever remember them making the playoffs in the 5 years I've played through).
