"Camptown Races"... for about a week now. I assume it has something to do with Foghorn Leghorn, but I can't figure out why, because I haven't seen a Looney Tunes cartoon in months.

I was suffering from that, until I forced something else into my head. "I Just Got This Symphony Goin'," by The Fall of Troy. However, now that I have been reminded of that... I think I will have to remove it from my head again...

"Pressure Drop" - the Toots & the Maytals version, not the Robert Palmer version - though both are great.

"Party All the Time" by Eddie Murphy. I heard it as a part of a radio bit yesterday and I still can't get it out of my head.

I apologize if it now gets stuck in yours.

At work we run this constant hour-long loop of commercials and right now it's obviously about 75% Christmas movies and specials so I've had this maddening medley of three terribly annoying songs from "Elmo Saves Christmas" bouncing through my head since Black Friday and I'm now contemplating blasting them out with a bullet. It's especially bad because the middle one seems to be called "It's Christmas Again" and most of the lyrics are just the word "again" repeated over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over, seemingly just to torture me.

It's Christmas again!

God bless the men of 2nd Bn, 127th Inf, 32d "Red Arrow" Brigade, WI Army Nat'l Guard...good luck, and come home soon.

Somebody asked me what old game show theme song was being used in a current commercial, sang it to me...and I couldn't figure it out. (Stupid tone-deaf friends.)

I thought it maybe was "Theme from $25,000 Pyramid"...and now that's stuck up there.

Curse you, Dick Clark Productions! :-)

I'll give my answer in the form of a science lesson:

The sun is a mass of incandescent gas, a gigantic nuclear furnace where hydrogen is built into helium at a temperature of millions of degrees.

All because it was in my car's CD player on my way to work and it's been in my head the rest of the day. I love TMBG, but goddamn can it ever get stuck and never want to leave.

Orlando Jordan's theme song has been stuck in my head for the last day or two. It's a good theme, actually-- it grows on you if you play as Orlando enough time on SmackDown vs. RAW 2006.

For some reason I had the Thunder Rolls by Garth brooks mixed with the song about the guy on the road that goes "Here I am on the road again... here I am on the stage...". Odd mix. I'm not sure how that happened.

"Turn the Page" by Bob Seger. Also, by Metallica. One of the few good songs they've done recently.

As for me, "Pancho and Lefty". Not at all a bad song to have stuck in your head.

I've never seen the musical or movie Rent, but I've been walking around whispering "Five-hundred-twenty-five-thousand-six-hundred minutes!" over and over again for the last couple of days. Thanks a lot, stupid movie trailer.

You wanted the best, you got... Out of Context Quote of the Week.

"Because personally if I was being choked by Ric Flair, my personal reaction would be well, "Glrrrrkkk, can't breathe" but after that... "Man, I'm being choked out by Ric Flair, this is so cool." and then some more "Gllllrrrrk, can't breathe."" (Llakor)

I will now light you on fire, as I had to put up with people singing that in school every day for, oh, three years.

Meril Bainbridge "Mouth" as I clicked on this thread

I really don't know why and I'm not happy about it. Even after reading some of these other songs it's still stuck in there. Time to replace it with something even stupider like Leonard Nimoy singing "Bilbo Baggins"

'But if one is struck by me only a little, that is far different, the stroke is a sharp thing and suddenly lays him lifeless, and that man's wife goes with cheeks torn in lamentation, and his children are fatherless, while he, staining the soil with his red blood, rots away, and there are more birds than women swarming about him.' Diomedes, The Iliad of Homer
