(running dial up mode plus 'greens' so I had no idea something was new) From reading this thread I see vsp and Jaguar are moderators and I'm wondering if there's maybe a Grimis or PalpatineW mod to even things out. I fear for the politics forum :-D

We pretty much had to do this, considering how bad it got last time we both left town (my wedding).

Besides, I have a funny feeling that if I changed Bizzle's avatar to a picture of a Cooper Mini and made his signature link to Hillary Clinton fan pages, I'd be busted back down to rank-and-file in about three and a half seconds once the Zims returned...

C'mon, you know it'd be worth it...
You know, if the Zims made me and Grimis mods, the Politics forum would cease to exist within three days. I bet when I put it like that, CRZ's starting to consider it... >:)

Pardon me for being out of the loop, but exactly what is Poker Face?!?!?! Yes I've seen the picture with the portly guy in the t-shirt grabbing at what looks to be some other guy's thong, but what is the big deal about this??? There had better be more to it than just that picture, or else the online sense of humour is just getting sad...
... or maybe I'm finally getting too old for this???
Edit: Thanks, vsp. Just another reason why I should start paying more attention to the commentary (assuming I watch in the first place).

He's this tiny little guy (not midget) who Tazz y Josh made out to be Hogan, Austin, Rocky, and Goldberg wrapped into one package. He got the hot tag, came in and cleaned house against the Bashams, and got killed dead by Shaniqua. Thus, he amused us.

Damn, that would be a great joke because running dialup mode I'd never see it.
Which brings me to a question I've had for a while: The password and username info is stored in a cookie, but why not your choice of settings? I keep it in dialup mode so the browser doesn't try to load an avatar from a website our network security people might find objectionable, and I forget to switch back and forth when I'm reading from home.

For people that use many different computers, it's better to have settings server side instead of in a cookie. I'd have to initially set the cookie - which would require just as much work as hitting the dialup link at the top of every page.
I mean - isn't that easy enough?

Yeah, keeping in both places could get to be icky-messy (technical term).
I'd be much happier with the current database solution if, after hitting the dial-up link at the top of the page, I'd get redirected to the page that I came from. Right now, I get redirected to the main Wienerboard page. Then, to get back to where I was when I realised that I wanted to change mode [gak] I have to back up a couple of pages then refresh. [If that made any sense.]
