This message board has spoiled me because accepted racist/hate speech I've seen in other places just drives me bonkers.

Or MOAR meaning MORE? Geez, that's a word that people learn in what...? Grade 1?

As a side note, I hate hate HATE short forms and stuff in text messages. I know that texts are generally 155 characters, but as an example, VERBATIM from Amy, an old friend from years back: "Sum1 bot my car; lolz at $ paid. Dinz 2nite on me". P

Those ads that appear on top of some pages. Not new windows, just annoying images that wont go away until they've played annoying music for 3 seconds before I get to X them off. Anybody know of a way to make Firefox stop them?

Also, improperly synched audio on many video streaming sites.

Do you have an example? Adblock can do more than block images, it can block scripts as well. It should be possible to block the script that is doing that.

People saying "Think for yourself!" When they're just as much of a part of the hivemind that they criticize.

The AVGN.

People who 'communicate' completely in 4chan/ED memes.

People who'll put anything at all up on the internet or say anything in hopes of getting attention. Andy Kaufman was the greatest attention-whore who ever lived, so what makes them think they could ever compare?

Something I'm commonly guilty of, but admit should be toned down... People who quote someone else's post, but change a few words and post "Fixed" underneath. I'll do my part if everyone else does theirs.

Not a bad person if you get to know me.

YouTube. In general. Girls posting videos of themselves dancing or guys doing stupid stunts in particular. I don't care, whores.

And the comments! Reminds me of the snooty Maitre D' in Ferris Bueller's Day Off: "I weep for the future."

Social networking websites in general, myspace in particular. "It's a great tool for keeping in touch with people!" So is email. And the phone. And IMs. How many more ways do we need? In truth, people think because they post the minutiae of their life somewhere and someone, somewhere reads it, it's somehow important.

It is not. Shut up.

Also, filled with whores. And not the good ones I get at the bus station for half a sandwich and a ride to the Navy base.

"Rants" like this one from bitter assholes like me.

Slow network TV websites when I'm trying to watch a show I missed.

That's why I moved to Facebook. The acquaintances I keep in touch with there are less attention-whoreish than the people I kept in touch with on Myspace.

Great point. I look at the Angry Video Game Nerd as a great example. I can't stand his reviews: they're probably 60% content, and 40% profanity-infused ranting and tirades.

The ones that pissed me off were the ones for cell phones. I bought myself a Verizon LG Dare for Christmas, and I watched maybe 10 reviews on YouTube while I was doing my pre-purchase research. Most of them were helpful and perfectly fine, but one in particular really should've been called "Here's my biased, contradictory rant on why I'm hating on the LG Dare while comparing it to the iPhone". Ugh.

I really don't know whether to trust online reviews for cellphones, seeing as though service providers offer different firmware packages for their phones. I mean, I bought an LG Rumour a while back, and I complained that the browser was slow, the configuration options were nonexistant, and it was mostly because the cellular company more or less bricked it with their programming.

I've only found one store that offers realtime testing of cellphones...they're booted up and ready to run, all that's needed are SIM cards for them. Those should be more commonplace, because there's only so much one can tell when handling a dummy phone that's attached to a display with a six foot cord.

Sorry for the rant.

To me being tired of something that you have to seek out is kind of lame. It has to be something foisted on you. So for me the worst are those ads that have someone "walking" onto the screen and start talking, and you have to scramble for the volume or the X button because you're at work or you're surfing late at night and trying not to make noise.

Pop Ups
Pop Unders
Pages that play music, or video automatically
Ads that move across your screen
Ads that don't actually have the "close window" button where they show it to be

And I'm tired of thinking I might miss something important if I'm not on the internet every 2 hours or so.

Also I'm irritated that there isn't an "ignore" feature in real life that works like one on the internet.

ESPN.com has been slowly driving me away because they video clips that just start playing at full volume. It was just annoying before, but now with new redesign of the site, the video clips that start up are SOOOO jittery. Buffer it before you force it to start, sheesh.

This would increase my work productivity IMMENSELY - especially if there was an IGNORE ALL UNTIL NOON feature.

Oh, I have an even better idea! Every question has a rating, and you can only hear questions or comments above a certain rating! THAT WOULD BE AWESOME!

This drives me up the wall just about every time I look at a wrestling dirtsheet: people who don't know the difference between "resign" and "re-sign." It kinda makes a difference.

Heh heh. Yeah, actually, because I can tell what "fued"ers are trying to say -- "resign/re-sign" is one of those rare occasions when I sometimes can't honestly tell which of the two they mean.

I believe this is in the Wii as the Family mode or Party mode? It's so that girlfriends, wives, and kids can play and have a chance. Oh, and me too maybe. I suck at Madden.
