I know he has fans here and I don't want them to hate me or anything, but -- Weird Al. (His debut album was the first album I ever bought, actually.)

Also, Chicago. (Specifically, 17.)

I'll agree with you Karlos. I still listen to Weird Al ocasionally, and I may even buy any theoretical future CDs, but ... it's not the kind of thing I tell people on the first date*.

But I have no problem telling random people on the Internet.

*Disclaimer: I haven't actually been on a date in a while either. Please contain your shock.

The Oakridge Boys, Statler Brothers, and Kenny Rogers. Old school country, that was my family.

You kn ow, I have thought about this, and I am not embarassed about any of them. Heck, I LOVED Journey and still enjoy a little "lights". I have three or four Barry Manilow albums. I even enjoyed Liberace (more as a funny guy than as a pianist). I have everything from Sex Pistols to Tommy Dorsey Band, from Beatles to Baha Men.

What to be embarassed of? It's not like I have N'synch CDs.

When my new girlfriend confessed that she likes Weird Al, I knew she was a keeper.

As for me, I used to run CrashTestDummies.com. That answers the question right there.

The first cassette I ever bought was Tiffany's debut album. Awful.

I also listened to a lot of rap in the early 90's. The worst album I owned was by Daddy Freddy.

Every Hanson album.

I'm not so ashamed at the newer ones, they are actually good. The older ones, and the Christmas album are the embarassing ones.

I am with AWA on this one. I still listen to everything I listened to back then.

Favs when I was younger were David Wilcox, Teenage Head, George Thorogood and the Destroyers

I will admit I get a little red-faced when I admit to having Michael Jackson albums.....

A lot of the bands mentioned are still fine-Journey, ABBA,Chicago. Man, I still love Chicago 17-it's a hard habit to break.

There is, however, no excuse for me liking Celine Dion in the mid-90s, just as she started releasing albums in English. Falling Into You stands out like an eyesore in my CD collection. Fortunately, I got sick of her with the chest-pumping Titanic video.

Olivia Newton John - My sister gave me the *8-Track* of the Physical album when I was a kid.

Oddly enough, I'm not ashamed of Men Without Hats....

Well...

I have those ones too, but they fall into the category of "I bought those for my wife" CDs....

I have to admit, I liked her at the time too. I even saw her in concert. A friend of mine LOVES to tease me about that, which is retarded, seeing as how she willingly - happily, even - went with me.

I like to justify this brief but horrifying time by saying that Celine Dion wasn't quite as obnoxious back then. I could be wrong, of course, but I do think her earlier English stuff was just standard pop radio blah and not quite the melodramatic diva bullshit it became.

And now that I've spent two paragraphs talking about how I used to enjoy the music of Celine Dion, I'm just going to duck out here and shoot myself in the face. Bye!
