DC, and some places in NoVA, voting machines are recording wrong votes so they shut them down and went to paper ballots. In Fredericksburg, VA, votes are being thrown out:

Same thing again this year. Shippe said this method is called "Inkavote", but the link he provided 4 years ago is dead now.

I voted once, when I was first eligible to vote in the Bush/Kerry 2004 election. I voted for Kerry being 18 and still uninitiated into the world of lobbying, the finer points of capitalism, etc.
I simply smirked (in my mind) when I stopped to get gas and saw that lady behind me with the "I Voted" sticker.
It's almost like giving a child a smiley face sticker on his English report. Sad at worst. Catastrophically embarrassing at best.
