Touch screen. Waited only about 2-4 mins in line. I think I spent longer in the booth than in line making sure it didn't goof up my votes.

DC, and some places in NoVA, voting machines are recording wrong votes so they shut them down and went to paper ballots. In Fredericksburg, VA, votes are being thrown out:

Same thing again this year. Shippe said this method is called "Inkavote", but the link he provided 4 years ago is dead now.

Yep. InkAVote again. Here, have a new link to a video demo (lavote.net).

We fill in the little circles and stay inside the lines. But since almost everyone was unopposed and Satan would out poll Obama in Kansas, you just kind of do it for kicks.

The one where you draw the lines to connect the arrows. In my case Line to connect the arrows.

Electronic - pushed all the buttons on the right side of the booth. Done & gone in about 10 seconds.

The frivolity of the modern American voting ritual is ridiculous.

I voted once, when I was first eligible to vote in the Bush/Kerry 2004 election. I voted for Kerry being 18 and still uninitiated into the world of lobbying, the finer points of capitalism, etc.

I simply smirked (in my mind) when I stopped to get gas and saw that lady behind me with the "I Voted" sticker.

It's almost like giving a child a smiley face sticker on his English report. Sad at worst. Catastrophically embarrassing at best.

We have a special senate election in MA today and my district is trying out the touchscreens. We had paper ballots in November.

I don't know what you're into. A lot of the web shows I'm into run into geeky territory. The Guild, Felicia Day's comedy about a group of online RPG players. The Legend of Neil is like "The Guild"'s foul mouthed, juvenile humor sibling.
