Where are you on the political compass? Here's the quiz I got... Economic Left/Right: -3.50 Authoritarian/Libertarian: -4.00 which = a left Libertarian, like Ghandi, according to the quiz...
Wrestling has been rhyming with ass. I miss shows and it makes me all shades of ambivalence. WWE is starting to suck again. The crops? Jeezum Spice! Someone stole my crops. What in the ham fat is going on. That's just poo-doo! That's just my 2.4856 Yen.
I think that's far from authoritative though. For example, I fundamentally agree that those with the means can have access to better health care provided those without the means have some sort of health care in the first place.
There's also no allowance for anything in another dimension from this spectrum (for example, I have transhumanist leanings.)
This doesn't surprise me at all. I am a very strong believer in the responsibility of each individual (hence being mildly "conservative" economically), but with that responsibility comes greater individual rights (the libertarian aspect).

I think the survey wasn't entirely accurate, as there are differences between what I condone and what I think should be criminalized.
Utilizing the belief system and work ethic (Mattributes) of THE Matt Hardy to create a better life for yourself by fulfilling your goals and dreams. Mattitude is a quality that can help anyone -- regardless of background or past -- to achieve success. You just have to make it a lifestyle, a mindset, a religion. Mattitude, is something that can not be taught or learned. Mattitude is something that burns within. In the ring, Mattitude is the intangible, the x-factor, that gives me an advantage over everyone else.
Not too surprised. Looks like I'm the biggest commie of the bunch, although others are more free-love than me. I was down with spankings though, which is probably why my economic score is more left than my Libertarian score.
Jesus Pool-Boy, you're to the left of Tony Blair. What's this world coming to?
I wish they had one of those graphs with politians on it for the U.S. The only folks I knew were Blair, Ian Duncan Smith, and Ken Livingstone.
Expressing myself EVERY day - but especially on July 22, 2002!
I'm pretty much with BucsFan, but I think that people do have a responsibility to contribute to the welfare of others. I would prefer that the nation not be a welfare state, though. In other words, I'm just like almost everyone else in the known universe.
I think the questions are a little slanted to the left though. For example, most of the people I know who are against gay rights are against them because it entails special privelige, not because of the idiotic FARRR-Right idea that homosexuality is curable.

Holy Crap, looking at the scores this place is filled with a bunch of Reds! And here I thought (based on what people have called me in the past) that I'd be way to the right of Adolf Hitler. Guess I'm more liberal than I thought.
Somewhat of a surprise; while I'm well aware of my Libertarian leanings, I had previously thought my economic views to be somewhat further to the right rather than so close to center. However, judging by the economic scores others have given, I suppose I do qualify as "far right" relative to the average of those who have previously posted here. Of course, if I were to re-take the quiz, say, in another month or so, the above numbers would probably show some minor adjustments (though nothing too drastic, I'm sure). Also, if I may editorialize just a bit, the quiz in my opinion highlights the inadequacies of a political system having only two parties. Thanks, rikidozan, for the link, and for a nice little time-killer.
Wait, so I believe that the welfare of the masses comes before the individual, but I also believe in the freedom of individuals? I'm so conflicted! Maybe I should change that....

With poison running through your veins, and death marching solemnly towards you, heroic acts become more of a necessity as you see your time dwindling.
Vanquishing your enemies, making amends to those you have wronged, and leaving words of love and kindness for those around you become second nature as your own mortality looms
However, true strength lies not in these last desperate acts, but in the actions of one who has to get out of bed the next day and face the consequences of doing that which you believe is right.
The test is interesting, but I think he needs more categories.
This did bring up an intersting question, though. Should Abstract art, becuase it doesn't represent anything, be considered art?
Think about it? Art is pretty much expression, so can you express non-expression? And if you try to express non-expression, aren't you merely expressing something similar to non-expression, but not true non-expression. Since true non-expression is merely...nothing.
Maybe a better question would be, is Abstract art really Abstract?

Yes, this is how I think when I can't sleep.
ow, you made my head hurt... in a compleatly unrelated note, i'm glad i can finally contribute to this forum. i'm not as interested in politics as you all (and i live 2 miles north of the beltway), but as i'm growing older, i'm taking a more active interest...
