I just finished watching the Shawn Vs. STSA match from WMXIV (Tyson appearance, great match btw,) and got to thinking. What is your favorite match (no explanation...the match should explain itself)?

Mine would have to be Wrestlemania II. Bundy Vs. Hogan cage match.

I'm gonna have to go with the 5 set finals between Mac and Jimmy Connors at the 1980 US Open. Great Match, long Volleys and no rest holds.

Or any match between Roddick and Federer

McEnroe-Connors matches were always intense - especially at the US Open

I loved the McEnroe-Borg matches too - US Open & Wimbledon

but my favorite match is the kind with the white tip that you can light on just about anything........

(Magnun TA vs Tully Blanchard "I Quit" Match and the original "War Games")

It's an easy answer, but I still love it every single time I watch it, no matter how many different DVDs it appears on.

A good waterproof match is near impossible to find. I downright refuse to light my cigars with lighters.

Wrestling-wise, my favorite match...well, any of Waylon Mercy's matches on SUPERSTARS would really count: i loved that character.

I think these two are my favorite match:

Ric Flair vs. Terry Funk (I Quit Match) from Clash Of The Champions IX. I recorded that match when it aired live, and must have watched it 20 times.

Dunno why the match sticks with me, but David Sammartino/Brutus Beefcake from WM1 is in my head as one that I really marked out for.

Also, Johnson/Atlas beating the Samoans, Goldberg/Raven, and Benoit/Snuka against....someone....on Nitro, where they both came off the corners of the steel cage.

The Big Show vs. Brock Lesnar, Survivor Series 2002. It was what all those Great Big Ultra Heavyweight matches should have been for YEARS, but never was. Some of the finest booking I've seen keeping both guys looking strong.

Ivan Putski and Andre the Giant in tag action against some jobbers. It was my first live event and I was a HUGE Polish Power fan. It was at MSG and we had seats on the floor. Putski and Andre won and Ivan sat on one of Andre's shoulders as they walked out and they past right by me. I was on such awe of being that close to Putski and also in awe of Andre's size that I completely forgot to slap hands with them as the walked by. I could not tell you who was on the card, but I will always remember that as my favorite match.

Bret/Austin, WM13.

Close runner up: Bret/Flair when Bret won the title in Saskatoon in 1992, mostly because I was there.

Jumbo Tsuruta vs. Mitsuharu Misawa
All Japan Pro Wrestling
6/8/1990

Their 9/1/1990 might even be a better match, but this is my favorite. Jumbo is pissed and Misawa wants to beat the legend. A classic.

Death used to scare the hell out of me. It doesn't bother me much anymore. I guess you can say I had two "brushes" with the reaper. One involved sobriety. In 98 me and my friend were held up at gunpoint walking down our street.
