Do they have McSweeney's in the USA? I was under the impression it's only available in Canada.

Derrick, carry no shame about the Kraft Dinner. It's the breakfast/lunch/supper/anything of champs and legends. I've been living off of it for several years now, and it never gets old and always tastes great. Eat it with bread (Kraft Dinner sandwiches) or dip the bread in the sauce (if you make your KD with runny sauce).


I'd have to say food wise it's gotta be peanut butter and cheese hotdogs. Nothing else but just the peanut butter (any kind) and cheese (any kind) on hotdogs.


There's also the Blender Special, which I've become famous for. Essentially, it's putting a bunch of icecream and a wack load of other stuff into the blender and making a THICK milkshake. An example;

- Butterscotch ripple icecream.
- Oh Henry Blend icecream.
- Some peanut butter.
- One jello butterscotch pudding cup.
- Chcolate syrup.
- Two-bite Brownies.
- Some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
- One icecream sandwich

And that'd be one awesome milkshake!

I've never seen it, nor heard of it. I'll try pretty much any jerky, so I'd have given it a shot if I'd ever run across it.

Anyway, in response to what KJames said, it's not that I think Oberto is the finest of jerkies or anything. It's just what I grew up eating, jerky-wise. I remember walking to the Old Barrel liquor store when I was 8 and buying Oberto and lemonheads and Nerds and Spree. Had they carried McSweeney's, that brand might have become my favorite, my nostalgic treat and my little quirk. But I'm stuck with what I'm stuck with.

And either way, I don't think I could become a fan of McSweeney's today. It would feel like eating "Dave Egger's Brand Jerky." And I've already had to choke down enough crap from him.

Any fast food burger is better when you replace the ketchup and mustard with BBQ sauce.

Ever try pizza with BBQ sauce in lieu of the tomato sauce? You'll be surprized at how good that can be.

I swear, I am Joe Boring/Healthy eater as much as I possibly can muster, but every three-four months, I get a massive craving for KFC.

I usually go to the drive-thru KFC near my house, with a hat and sunglasses, and then I buy a 10-piece pack, of which I devour four almost immediately.

Then, the glorious part is the next day, eating the remaining pieces COLD. My God, how I love cold KFC.

You did not just post in this thread without revealing all of the insane food things you eat.

I mean eating ravioli out of the can is one thing, but eating clam chowder out of the can is totally different.

I doubt that people would believe it.

I have this theory that food that is prepared does not require heating. This includes any soup that does not need water added, canned ravioli, frozen pizza, pre-cooked sausage, etc.

It really disturbs people for some reason.

Fun-Dip. It's a goofy thing to see a fairly big sized guy to scarf on with glee. Questions have been asked by co-workers at some of the various temp-jobs I have done.

I still love me some Lemonheads, and all the variations thereof, though I miss all the funny names for them, see Alexander the Grape.

Those are the only things I feel embarassed about buying to eat. Well that and Pineapple soda.

Saltines dipped in duck sauce. I don't know why I started, but it makes a great snack.

I also don't heat up those little microwave-ready cups of Chef Boyardee ravioli, just open, grab a spoon, and eat. It's weird because I don't eat any other "supposed to be cooked" food cold, including pizza. I won't touch pizza that goes below lukewarm until it's reheated. The one exception is a local brand of pizza, Nardone's (nardonebros.com). The dough and sauce are precooked, but the cheese isn't. It's not frozen, just refrigerated. There's nothing better than taking it right out of the box and eating it. Apparently once you leave this little section of Northeast PA, the idea of eating such pizza is disgusting, but it's really heavenly.

Every few months I'll make a chicken cassarole dish that involves, among other things, a can of cream of mushroom soup. I buy two cans, use one in the recipe, and eat the other out of a can with a spoon (cold and without the added water) while the chicken heats in the oven. Some are very grossed out by this, but it's a great snack.

The only time I heat leftovers is if they are refrigerated. If they are room temperature when I open them, I eat as is.

As far as food that I'm ashamed of, well, I have no shame. I'll eat nearly any junkfood/fastfood that you can put in front of me. I have hooked my 3yr old on Peanutbutter Waffles, but I don't see anything weird about a (cooked) frozen waffle with peanutbutter on it. Fold in half and you gots some good portable breakfast! Just make sure you have something to drink when you're done....

Mine has to be the Taco Bell Chicken Quesadilla.

I will also open up a box of Cheez-Its and then suddenly it is an empty box.

I also love Fig Newtons.

Oh and I could eat an entire box of Pop Tarts at one sitting. Favorite flavors are Frosted Strawberry and Frosted Brown Sugar Cinnamon. Luckily I switched to Low Fat Pop Tarts and those are the only two flavors in Low Fat variety.

I'm picturing this guy walking around with a pizza popsicle in hand, munching away...

I do have another one I thought of..."Tuna And". It's Tuna and Noodles without the noodles. One can of Campbell's Cream of Mushroom Soup and one can of tuna in oil (with the oil). Mix. Serve cold or hot. Mmmmmm.

But clam chowder out of the can? Man, you win.

I love cold pasta directly from the can. I discovered this at the end of my freshman year of college. My roommate moved out early and took the microwave with him. I was stuck with some cans of ravioli and spaghetti so I decided what the hell, and i ate them cold. They are delicious that way! I never heat canned pasta anymore; just give me a can opener and a spoon.

Also, try out putting salted peanuts in a bottle of Coke. You'll be pleasantly surprised.

I am totally with the car-chases from The Road Warrior and Matrix: Reloaded are classics. Lots to choose from in Terminator 1, 2, and 3 also. The Long Kiss Goodnight has some terrific action sequences also...
