I put the people's elbow, worm, and all the other gimmick moves into a different catagory than "finishing moves." Just to make myself feel better, I pretend that the set-up move (bulldog-esque thing from Scotty, usually a Spinebuster from the Rock) is really what puts them out, and the gimmick move is just an elaborate taunt.
For other finishers, I've always hated the pedegree. I mean, the guy's head travels maybe two feet to the mat. During a last ride or a Big Show chokeslam, the guy's head probably travels close to 10 feet to mat with a lot more force.

"Excuse me, do you have any EuroDisney T-Shirts?" January 2nd, 2002. Paris, France. My proudest moment.
The Fingerpoke of Doom DOES count, and it counts over any of the people's disco elbows or what else, because it was for the World F'N title and tossed the title into the gutter, figuratively speaking.
---=---:---=--- [Look up a line] Wow, that belt looks like crap... I'll take it and carry it around for years and see if people can take it away from me... What? What was that? You mean even THIS belt doesn't matter! What? I'm insulted! Get away from me you... you... defiler!
You guys are referring to the day when-- how'd he put it-- WCW injected itself with a ton of liquid anthrax?
Yeah, the Touch of Death does count, but it's only slightly better than Hogan's real finishing move, the Crappy Legdrop From Hell.
The worst finishing move I ever saw was in the movie Ready to Rumble, when Jimmy King would finish his opponents by “crowning” them-- with a flying axehandle. Doesn't get much worse than that, my friends.
Oh, another one. Tank Abbott used to knock suckas out with one punch. That was awful shit, too.
And that, as they say, is that.
“Bow-wow-wow, yippee-yo-yippee-yay, Oil of Olay all day, every day!”
But, see, any move you put over as legit, is a decent move.
The legdrop was quick, simple, and kept people down for the three count. No one, not even Hogan [I hope], could get away with that now, and no one will ever be able to again.
Entertainment has always been the name of the game, the wrestling has almost always been the side issue... but no one really tends to think that way when they think of watching wrestling in their childhood, where they learned their barbaric ways

The Olympic Slam was pretty bad when he first busted it out. God, I hated that move at first.
"Kent Brockman here once again at The Springfield Nuclear Power Plant, where a complete evacuation has taken place. Details are sketchy at best, so we've taken what little information we have, added our own theories, and concluded that whatever the likely disaster, it's most likely the work of our former president Richard M Nixon, even though he is rumored dead." -Kent Brockman

yeah I always hate when the Rock does the people elbow as a finisher, I dont' have a problem in the middle of the match but a finisher is insulting same goes with Scotty.
Yeah the People's Elbow was cool when A) It was done only to taunt the fans. and B) You knew no way in hell A pin would result from it.
I think the crappiest finisher is.....How about the dreaded LEG DROP OF DOOM. Set up with the Big Body slam, and later the Viscious Clotheline (When you know who was too feeble to lift an opponent) Another lame Move, which may or may not have been a finisher, The Giant Swing!
Can someone explain how being spun around a few times is going to leave you incapable of kicking out?
"Money's the Same whether you earn it or scam it" Bobby "The Brain" Heenan "Will you stop!" Gorilla Monsoon after just about everything Heenean says.
I'll vote for Hulk Hogan's Leg Drop, preceded by its' set-up move, The Big Boot (why the opponent's momentum didn't just knock him over, I'll never know).

Yeah, You're Right, it was the BIG BOOT (tm) that set up the Leg Drop, not a clothesline. Somehow I had managed to repress that piece of trivia.

Well, personally I *HATE* the Dragon Suplex... No, wait... I'm mixed up again... The Dragon Suplex (and all wrestlers who perform it) rocks the party that rocks the body...
What I *REALLY HATE* are the lame run/stop/drop moves like The Worm, the People's Elbow and The Leg Drop.
And for those who knock the Pedigree...remember... Sure, it's a two foot drop...WITH A 250 POUND GUY ON YOUR HEAD. The Stunner, now *THAT* is a tepid move... "Ow! I hurt my voice box a bit! That bastard!"
I loathe the Hogan Legdrop. I loathe the Old Glory Kneedrop even more. But I will never buy any sort of chokehold (not a chokeslam, I sorta like those) short of the Mandible Claw as a wrestling finisher. It's just so anti-climatic.
...Some fear the Pink... ...But many fear....THE MOUNTIE! (He's handsome, he's brave, and he's strong, you know)
Stevie Ray's Slapjack was pretty horrid to watch at times.
Jerry Flynn and Vincent both used the cross arm breaker - which only bothered me because everyone else in the world escapes from it. You mean to tell me VINCENT is a master of the cross arm breaker?
For some reason, I never much cared for D'Lo's Sky High move.
I dislike the Big Splash as a finisher, simply because it seems lazy. The Earthquake/Avalanche is a variation - more of a big butt splash, and it was pretty horrendous.
The Banzai Drop bothers me MOST OF THE TIME because the wrestler executing it always stops WAY short of hitting the guy and it comes off looking really bad.
