I've had some wild age gaps. Oddly enough, I can remember almost all their ages, but not their names. Me -- Her when we both started dating 16 -- 18 16 -- 36 (largest gap, 20 years, she was a fed, and a claimed to be a former Miss Texas contestant, but not a winner. I regret not sticking with her, but she'd be 48 today.) 17 -- 29 (oddly enough, she and the gal before both had 8 year old boys, who'd be 20 or so today) 17 -- 16 (smallest gap, one year) 23 -- 30 23 -- 18 24 -- 25 26 -- 27 27 -- 18 27 -- 28 28 -- 23 28 -- 20 (current girlfriend of four months, and we've been living together for the last two)

I've dated girls 1-2 years younger and older. Though it seems i'm about to start something with a 26 year old (we've been hanging out more lately and i'm actually taking her out to dinner Thursday). She's 5 years my senior. So it'll be interesting to see how this turns out.
I've only been with one...call me old fashoned but we've been together for five years and six months. She was 17 and I was 21. Now she's 22 and I'm 26.
Apparently age doesn't matter too much after about 25 or so...then you're basically considered an adult everywhere except your own mind. :)

I think the Philip Marlowe detective series by Raymond Chandler - most of which were made into films at one point or another - would be a great franchise.
