The only one that immediately sprung to mind was Bautista. A few weeks back on Smackdown, Stephanie was yelling at D'Von saying that Bautista had better not leave Smackdown. The angle was that Bautista was "under contract" to D'Von and not Smackdown. Since he left D'Von, I guess he could possibly be considered a "free agent" now. Maybe they'll do some sort of bidding war thing with him??
Weren't the rosters frozen last week, with Bischoff "stealing" Orton & Helms just before the deadline?
Matthew: You would've loved it, David. A week in a foreign country, strange people, strange customs... Dave: Oh, I know what you mean. I've been to Canada.
Bautista?! a Horseman? No way, I'll go out of my way and say Angle. Hell, you know, while Flair started his allegiance with Hunter, he probably had something going under the table at the time too. Thinking through these things can really wear out your brain, I know. I got a small migraine in the process last night.

Remember Sid, Paul Roma and Mongo are former Horsemen, so Bautista might actually be a step up.
Thank you Mr. Wanz for the check, now you get an AWA World Title Reign. But be careful, my boy Greg is a heat machine.
Well, I'll go way out on a limb and say Flair's working on bringing Hulk Hogan to RAW. RAW needs as many main eventers as they can get, RAW is supposed to be where the "established stars" are while SmackDown! is meant to be the home of the "future superstars", and Hogan and Bischoff have a long on and off-screen history anyway. Maybe I'm wrong but if it does happen, you read it here first. Smoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast!

I was thinking the same thing. The only other "ex-Smackdown" star I can think of would be The Rock, and I don't see that happening anytime soon. But why would a heel Flair bring in Red & Yellow Hogan?
I've missed only 3 WWE PPV's since 1995. Why don't girls like me?
Flair said nothing about Horsemen. WWE hardly ever mentions the horsemen. Whoever this is will have nothing to do with horsemen.
And there is a freeze on contracts. So the person can't be on Smackdown right now. Well, they could, but it wouldn't make any sense storyline wise. And if they were on Smackdown now, they wouldn't be ex-Smackdown talent anyway. Bautista was never under contract to Smackdown either. He worked for D-von. So, really, he isn't ex-Smackdown, he is ex-D-von.
I'm gonna go out on a limb and say they swerve us by bringing back Flash Funk.

Oh, I'm not saying Flair's doing 4HM2K2 or anything. I'm not actually sure why Flair would bring Hogan in, to be honest. I just have a hunch--especially since Hogan and WWE have his biography coming out that they'll need to promote. As for why, storyline-wise...anyone remember Vengeance when Hogan and Flair were chatting with Jeff Hardy backstage? I know it degenerated into them taking cheap shots verbally at each other but it started with them talking as if they respected or maybe even liked each other. Maybe Hogan gets upset that Stephanie did nothing to punish/sanction Lesnar for brutalizing him in August. Maybe they reveal on-air that Hogan's contract has expired and he is now a free agent. Then have Bischoff/Stephanie fight over him (not saying he's worth fighting over anymore but just trying to flesh out a scenario) and he eventually chooses Bischoff, remembering all the great times he had with him in WCW. If it is to become a Fourth Horseman instead, it'd be a pretty good lineup--Former leader of DX, former leader of the nWo, eternal leader of the Four Horseman, and eternal leader of Fozzy/King Of The World. Except that they seem to be killing off the IC belt, they could even try for the old "Four Horsemen, Four Belts" strategy. HHH World Champ, Jericho IC Champ, Hogan/Flair Tag Team Champs. Bring in Arn as the manager and it'd be complete. And just to complete my ludicrous fantasizing...On SD! they resurrect the long-dead Apocalypse angle with Benoit, Guerrero, Angle, and Edge. I don't know who their manager could be, though. Heyman? Michael Hayes? Anyway, I know I'd love to see the two teams square off at Survivor Series in a War Games match at MSG. I know I'm dreaming but hey, isn't it fun to dream? Smoke me a kipper; I'll be back for breakfast!
The best there IS, the best there WAS, and the BEST there EVER will be!
I had 2 immediate thoughts. Hogan, as already discussed.
The other thing that occurred to me was the Tough Enough trainers. They were all on Smackdown side before heading off for TE3. I seem to remember one brief mention somewhere that they don't have either Raw or Smackdown contracts. (They certainly weren't "with" either show when the contracts were frozen.) In previous Ross Reports there were mentions of 1) TE being about done shooting. (2-3 weeks ago? Is there a Ross Report archive someplace?); 2) Ivory being around, but doing some promotional touring; 3) Al taking some time off before returning; 4) no specific mention of DeMott at all.
I *immediately* thought Hogan when they brought that up, and my suspicions only got tipped off even more when Jericho started mocking the classic Hogan pose during the IC title match (why, why, WHY can't Jericho ever win? Oh yeah, Teo hates him, almost forgot).
It fits in with the storyline since Brock almost killed Hogan right before Summerslam, and it would make sense because of the history Hogan has with Bischoff. Hogan'll be back - one last five-month run before Vince jobs to him in Seattle and he heads off into the sunset.

Some more stuff: Benoit being on the show certainly helped, but I think that starting the tag title match at around 9:45 hurt it, because the big things that happen on RAW happen at the beginning, middle, and end of the show... 9:
