Had it been Benoit, it would have sucked because I don't think Benoit's act from last week of just standing their and letting the other person do all the talking with the corpse would work and I damn sure know any skit that goes more than 5 seconds that involves Benoit opening his mouth is going to be the most boring thing on the show.
Eddie may or may not have been entertaining, depending on what the schtick was, though I have visions of the lid to the coffin falling down and knocking him unconscious and then the coffin being taken to the funeral and being buried with Eddie still in it and then when we come back to the arena, Eddie has mysteriously disappeared.
As for Jericho, I could see his repartee with the corpse being even funnier than HHH's. "How you doin'? Oh yeah, that must suck." And, of course, he wouldn't have bothered shaving his goatee, so it would have been even more obvious who it was.
So, in short, as long as it wasn't Benoit in the skit, it probably still would have been funny. | dMp

But to answer your question. This crossed my mind 1/10 of a second. Would it have mattered? No.
The angle would suck no matter what.
That said, I can laugh about something like this, it just sucks as a whole wrestling angle.
The only person who is capable of carrying a broom to a five star outing is none other than....

Triple H could've come straight in (Acting awful on purpose) lifted the leg over and then seen the camera and acted all angry that he got caught. then for no reason a minister could've come in and "Beaten Up" Kane
