Since I spend too much money on games, I want more quality, especially with sequels. Here is my ransom list of demands for a few pending sequels. I will be sending these 3 suggestions to their respective company's feedback account. Which most likely will get laughed at and deleted

Kingdom Hearts 2: I don't know if Sora will be a main charactor or not. But anyone who has played this game knows it is really a Disney game with Final Fantasy charactors sprinkled in. If the Disney license is retained, I want MORE Final Fantasy charactors. Make it similar to the world jumping format of part 1. But instead we can take our heros to the worlds of Spira, Alexandria, Balumb Garden...etc..

Why even stop at FF? You can jump to the world of Chrono (Trigger I hope) The world of Tobal. And if Enix and Square can sort their problems and merge....can you imagine the potential here? And for the love of God/Allah/Buddha fix the camera...please! Oh and uhmm....NO GUMMY SHIPS!

The Next Smackdown I am betting a friend 20 dollars that the next Smackdown will be called It Doesn't Matter! They do improve each time but 4 games or 200 bucks later there are still these nagging complaints: I want my charactor to come out with his belt during exhibition games, better yet like No Mercy, allow us to create our own belt so I can put my title on the line with a friend (this option is just screaming for online play). There is no worse feeling then your shit talking friend walking away with the FTW belt you created. Oh, and I would like more limping when you target a specific body part, SYM would have the guy limp or hold his arm for a few seconds then back to normal (was HHH a consultant?). And I want to see them actually tapping out more (you can kind of see them tap to a few moves in SYM). A little blood wouldn't hurt anyone, although not cartoonish MK levels like the old Acclaim games. Again Aki was on point with No Mercy. THQ is making great strides with there create a... programs but there is one that needs to be done. Two actually, we need a create a move program next. Don't know how you can pull it off so its simple but that why they pay you the big bucks. Second, a create a Entrance mode. The PS1 version actually had better custom entrances.

We need more modes of play believe it or not. Like a GM or booker mode. Custom arenas (come on Acclaim even had this) And better stable options, Storyline was so boring without my stable of thugs interacting more. And it's nice that you added real WWE storylines in but don't relay on them like a crutch. Hire some real writers (something WWE needs to do) If localization is a problem I live in Tokyo and will work free as long as you add my body parts to the next CAW (haha). And since your a Japanese development company put in some kind of Puro Reso fed that you know..wink..wink..resemeble and moves like their real counter-parts. And I understand if you can't take SD online. Since Sony is too cheap to provide servers (even though me and my wife works for them) but please have some kind of updatable content, I know it won't fly with the 8mb memory card, we need that harddrive!

The Next Mortal Kombat, Tekken, Virtual Fighter, Soul Calibur..etc.. My wife can beat me in any racing game so she is always down to play some GT3 or Sega GT2002. I am not since I know I will lose. She won't play me in fighting games because she knows I'm going to kill her and talk shit. So I always end up playing by myself and it gets old quick. I demand that all next generation fighter games, be online capable. If 2002 was the year that the fighter games was reborn then this year they should take it to the next step. Thats why I can't wait for SNK vs Capcom 2 on X box. Hell I never even liked that series, but I am waiting to kick some annoymous ass and do some shit talking without someone trying to crack a beer bottle over your head. (1994 I learned not to talk shit while playing MK2 in a bar) I am ready (gamertag= Black Pearl)

Anyone else have any changes they want to see?

I don't get the obsession about having a belt in an exhibition match..You cannot put it on the line, as it would fuck your season so what is the point other than 'oooh it looks so cool?'

What I do want is create a PPV. That is why we still play No Mercy every few weeks, for our own federation's PPVs.

Other than that, I would like to see the submission thing changed, so that it's not like you do not tap or you tap right away (at the end of the animation) but it really depends on holding onto the move longer or shorter (like no mercy again)

And sure, create a move, entrance, stage, andwhatnot would be sweet too. But it's not a nuisance to me that I don't ahve it.

You seem to love No Mercy as much as me. And in No Mercy you could come out with your custom belt. And it would be cool if you can earn old school belts and what not, remember the next game won't have the I.C. Hardcore or European belts. Thats why I like the idea of creating your own belt. It won't interfer in Story mode. And the main thing is playing against friends (or online). Your boy brings his memory card over with his custom (he created the old ECW belt with BWO spray painted over it) You put up your Vintage NWA belt that you made and he loses and you hold up both the belts while he is laying on his back. The memory card transfers the belt to yours. Tell me that wouldn't be cool! In fact that reminds me, they need a stat tracker to make it more sport-like. Admit it, it would appeal to the geek in us.

So definatly give me:

Create a belt
Create a finishing move
Create a PPV
Create a Season (much better)
Create a Entrance (& winning pose)
Better and Bigger Creat a Stable
The only thing I can complain about in SYM create mode is not as many hair styles as in the previous version.
Someone mentioned create a outfit but thats too "dress up barbie" for me.
How about create a feud? Or at least be able to set friends and foe like the acclaim games.

I haven't bought KH yet, but it's high on my list once I finish with Wild Arms 3. (WA3 was $29.99 at Target, KH was $50 everywhere, so I couldn't resist.) However, if KH leaned in the direction you describe -- less Disney, more FF's Greatest Hits -- I would leave it on the shelf, and so would a lot of other people.

The game you describe would appeal mostly only to FF disciples -- and, granted, there are more than a handful of those. But there are a HELL of a lot more people who know Disney's characters and worlds on sight than know FF's. I wouldn't know recent FF characters from mailboxes, for instance, as I haven't played one since VII. (Bought it, played it, played it over again a while later with a walkthrough, thought it was decent but severely overhyped and overrated, moved on to other RPGs.) If I want to play games with FF characters, well, I can think of ten of them already out there. Now, playing games that recreate Disney characters and worlds (on an ADULT LEVEL, instead of the typical "Press Jump to help Pooh reach the hunny pot" kiddy platform titles)... THAT's a new experience.

Focusing the game around FF's history limits the target audience to those who are FF junkies. Focusing the game around Disney's history EXPANDS the target audience and helps bring in Disney fans as impulse buys, and the quality of the game'll hook them from there.

I can attest to that statment being as true as true can be. I work for Disney and countless cast members and friends I know not only bought the game based on it being so Disney related, but a few even went so far as to buy a Playstation 2 JUST for this game alone. Only one of them actually gave a damn about RPGs and Final Fantasy.

One of my biggest gripes about the CAW in SYM is the color schemes. On half of the articles, there is this huge wide range of colors to pick from, except for BLACK AND WHITE!
I mean, damn- you find something that looks awesome, but only if it were black! I mean, you can get close by tweaking the color and the contrast and such, but sometimes, you just want black.
Also, a little bit of a custom entrance movie would be nice. Make 10 or 20 generic movies where a name pops on the screen (that you can change) with some flashy colors, or hell, let you "film" an entrance sequence with your character even (splice in your own action). The existing movies suck for giving your CAWs individuality...

I'll add my requests for the next NBA Live game:

In NBA Live 2004, I'd like more classic uniforms (one per team in '03 was good, but c'mon, I want more!) I'd also like to see classic teams like the '60s Celtics, '80s Lakers and Celtics, and '90s Bulls. Madden NFL 2003 had several classic teams for every franchise except, of course, the Texans, so this shouldn't be too hard to manage.

I'd like, finally, authentic arenas in NBA Live '04-- something the franchise hasn't done yet, I believe. (Haven't played '00 or '01 in a long time, so maybe they did, I don't remember.) I'd like to be able to retire the jerseys of franchise players who've done very well (Corey Maggette is lighting up the NBA on my Pacers team in '03), and I'd like all of the current retired jerseys to be honored. In my franchise mode in Live 2003, Patrick Ewing was signed as a free agent by the Celtics, and it's very distracting seeing him wearing Bill Russell's #6. And it's beyond distracting seeing Mitch Richmond in a #23 Bulls jersey.

Along the same lines, I'd like for the game not to allow any two players on the same team to have the same jersey number. Madden and NCAA Football both had this feature, yet Live did not, and I think it should've.

I'd like to be able to see the banners hanging in the rafters of all the NBA arenas, and for new banners to be added when a jersey is retired or a team wins a championship.

I'd like the ability to trade between more than two teams, and to trade draft picks both for the coming draft and for drafts in years to come.

I'd like for NBA Live 2004 and March Madness 2004 to come out at roughly the same time, and have the same draft compatability that Madden NFL 2003 and NCAA Football 2003 had. Namely, the ability to export a college draft class into the pro game. I've been having a blast with this feature in the football games, as I've managed to draft two of my biggest Indiana University stars onto the Indianapolis Colts.

Those are some good points about Live. Although I disagree with the more Disney vs FF with Kingdom Hearts

*********SPOILER ALERT**************

Ok if you seen the super secret ending then clearly some of the charactors are older, thus it is only fair to cater to the older gamers.

***********END OF SPOILERS***********

Don't get me wrong, I love the Disney elements. Me and my wife got all misty eyed when she found all the pages to Pooh's book. So I want KH2 to have the Disney, Especially Donald (I know everyone loves Goofy but Donald is dear to me). But we have seen a lot of the Disney Worlds already. All I am asking for is 35% Disney and 65% Squaresoft world. I don't think it will come out untill PS3 is here anyway, and by the time it does, all the kids that got hooked the first time will be older.

Another sequel I will bitch about is Knockout Kings. Please EA put some more heart into it. I know 80% of their people are always working on the next Madden but please, boxing games needs as much depth that is put into wrestling games. I will not buy another paint by numbers KK. I gave you 4 years already and you just can't seem to get it right. It's a shame that after all these years later Punch Out is still the best boxing game.

I think ulitmately the best way to improve the storylines in a wrestling game would to make it online. Then you don't have to watch the same storylines over and over you could talk to other wrestlers online as your interviews and things like that. Plus you could somehow download different outfits and things so you can have more choices of what to look like. I mean you could have a fed of like 40 different made up characters with each one being played by a person.

The only other game I really have a suggestion for is my favorite game, NCAA Football. Now since it's my favorite game there's not much wrong with it. The only thing I want is a scenarios mode where you take over a team in a classic game from the past and have to recreate what happened. For instance, you have control Colorado and throw a hail mary against Michigan. Or you have to be Florida State against Florida and come back from 31 - 0 to win. Maybe Madden has this, i'm not sure cause i don't play NFL games, but I know an old game on Genesis did this (I think it was Quarterback Club?).

I'm sorry, but making everything online is not the answer. Everyone who plays games on the PC knows that while online features are really cool and all, it just lets developers take a really long time (through patches) to give you the game you paid for in the first place.

The nice thing about console games is that they have to be good enough AS IS to be played. None of this slapdash stuff. Sure, it'd be fun to play against people online, but is it worth the price of less quality games? Not to me.

See, this is why I'm not much of a PC gamer, outside of emulators. When designing a console game, you have standardized specs, and thus no excuses for bugs in the end product; in the PC world, you have 4,48571E+13 possible variations. The staff can point to five test machines and say "On THESE machines, with THESE configs, our game is bulletproof," but even well-designed games end up in Patch City once someone finds an incompatibility with Odd Sound Card X or Odd Video Card Y or Seemingly Unrelated Driver Set Z.

Of course, there are a lot of sloppily-programmed PC games out there too, which use patches as a crutch.

I have an Athlon 1300 with DSL, but I have yet to find any PC games I'd want to play online. Strange, that.

IU has football stars? Since when? (Obligatory bashing of IU football by an alumnus who happens to be a Purdue fan.)

As far as online play, I agree with vsp. I really haven't found that much recently that I care to play online. Now that I finally have a copy of Neverwinter Nights, that may change, but I doubt it.

Actually, I take it back. There is one PC game that's online-only that I've been known to play...

...but I've been playing netrek since 1991, so it's not exactly a new development.

(And, no, I don't care for Star Trek in general. You could name the four teams in netrek after your favorite Muppets and it wouldn't change the gameplay at all.)

bash91,

Yeah, yeah... IU doesn't have football stars-- or even a remotely decent team-- in real life. Which is part of what makes NCAA Football 2003 so fun. In my NCAA slot, the Hoosiers are the three-time defending national champions, while in Madden the Colts are three-time defending Super Bowl Champions.

Would that ever happen in real life?

Hahaha... no. Actually, after the Colts' last playoff game, I'm not sure which scenario is least likely to happen. Maybe the odds on both scenarios are zero.
