The chapter from OJ Simpson's book has been leaked. It is, as you would expect, pretty disgusting. He claims not to want his kids to read the details of their mother's death but basically blames her for putting him in the situation.

I'm kind of ashamed I devoted this much time to this actually.

At first, I wasnt too opposed to the idea of the book, now, reading just the recap of it, I'm pretty much disgusted by the entire idea.

Jeez. When I was in middle school, despite the racial divide that was pretty much 50/50 (black people thinking he was innocent, white people thinking him guilty) I went against the grain and thought him innocent. Now I can't imagine how he got off the hook. Goes to show you how good a lawyer Johnnie Cochran was, I guess, doing a masterful job of character assassination against prosecution witnesses and getting the jury to ignore the DNA evidence.

CNN (cnn.com) is reporting that one of my all time favorite writers, Stanislaw Lem, has passed away. I was probably 10 or 11 when I found a copy of Solaris in my dad's library and was absolutely blown away by it.
- bash91, RIP Stanislaw Lem (2006)
