I'm also an Associated Content writer. If you've got some 500 to 1,000 word article ideas, pitch it to them and you just might get some change in your Paypal account. If you're a great writer or looking to get into writing for a living, this site could be beneficial. Doesn't hurt to have a published archive of your work.
And yes, I am also a former AllAdvantage member. I got about $75 out of them until the company supposedly went under. Bummer. It was the easiest $75 I'd ever made.
But now I'm considering Amazon Mechanical Turk. Times are tough at the False Household, so any chump change would help.

Get a second job at a Pizza place working the late night delivery rush on the make-line. It's 2-3 hours of work, you just make pizzas at a frantic pace and answer phones, and it pays minimum wage - better than you are going to get on most online stuff. You can probably get 5-6 shifts a week working the rush only if the manager needs help.
Seriously, its a great (very) part time job and its pretty easy to work in as a second job.
I've nearly fallen for a lot of scams, which is why I'm incredibly happy I found I've Tried That.com, which helpfully spreads the word about internet scams (learn about Crazy Fox and their ilk here) and posts up legit opportunities. They're not get-rich-quick schemes, but they can help you get a real job for a real wage.
Incidentally, they pointed me at Big Crumbs, which gives you a small rebate whenever you shop major retailers (Best Buy, Borders, iTunes, etc.) from their links. If you're up for getting a few pennies back, it's completely free to join.
I actually become pretty good at poker online and after 9 months of playing, I finally ended up in the money in a freeroll on Full Tilt poker. I finished 8th of 2700 and made $3.
It's not much but I have been placing in a few Sit-n-go's picking up $19.80 here and there playing with $11 + $1 entry fees. Top 3 are ITM. The thing I like about FTP, when you want to cash out, they will refund the CC you have on file. Since I used my check card, that is as good as a direct deposit.
