Kentucky played the best game they've played in quite a while last night. That team is really playing well, just hope that they aren't peaking yet and that they'll have plenty left in the tank for March. Their style of play bodes well for that, but they need to stay hungry. Keep Pitino U ahead of them in the rankings, it just fires them up!
Quezzy, I'm not looking forward to the 'Cats' trip to Gainseville, and I sure would hate to be Alabama Saturday. I'm thinking there were two Elite 8 if not Final 4 teams on that floor last night.
Man, being # 1 has been death to teams this year...
Americans are a resolute people who have risen to every test of our time. Adversity has revealed the character of our country, to the world and to ourselves. America is a strong nation, and honorable in the use of our strength. We exercise power without conquest, and we sacrifice for the liberty of strangers. Americans are a free people, who know that freedom is the right of every person and the future of every nation. The liberty we prize is not America's gift to the world, it is God's gift to humanity. - President George W. Bush, State of the Union Address, 1/28/2003
Man, it's just been some serious turnover at the top this year. That being said, there are still some overrated teams up near the top; of course, the rankings in college basketball don't matter too much until the final poll, anyway. That's why I love the college game.
