i think it would be cool to see the rock and sock connection against the two members of evolution randy orton and batista i heard that was gonna happen at wrestlinginc.com ( best news site ever cause its not filled with rumors:]
and taker returning is defently is going to bring the ratings up those videos taker has been sending kane are freaky but its ovious ( dont think i spelled that right:] that hes going to return
OK, well, I don't see how it's going to be Rock and Sock vs. Orton and whoever, because it seemed very obvious to me that Flair/Batista will be taking on RVD/Booker T.
Foley vs. Orton straight up is what would make the most sense.
The Rock could face one of the following and I would find it acceptable IMO... Randy Savage, Rocky Johnson (his dad), Jimmy Snuka, Don Muraco (doubtful), George Steele, Mr. T, Roddy Piper, Abdullah The Butcher, or Ricky Steamboat, whatever.
I couldn't care any less about Undertaker/Kane because I prefer BikerTaker myself. Undertaker's initial appearence will be cool I am sure and then... what? An urn? Crucifixion(sp?)? Please, I'm not 12 years old. This supernatural shit is 1988, man. It's low brow. It's unrealistic, even for pro wrestling.
Personally, I was way more excited last week when it looked like they were going in the Foley v. Orton and RVD/Booker v. Flair/Batista direction. Foley v. Orton is SOOOOOOOOOOOO much better and storyline fitting as a one-on-one match. Making it a tag just waters the whole thing down. Plus, there is absolutley no reason why Rock is even needed for this match, other than "Rock is available, so what the hell? Let's shove him in here." Plus, having Foley v. Orton one-on-one, which allows for the RVD/Booker v. Flair/Batista match to take place, allows for both the Intercontinental and World Tag Titles to be defended at the biggest show of the year. Making the match Rock/Foley v. Orton/Batista doesn't allow either belt to be defended, which doesn't exactly help the credibility of either title (especially since the World Tag Title was shoved off the card last year as well).
Unfortunatley, ever since last Monday, I have heard that the plan is still for Rock/Foley v. Orton/Batista, so I guess that's still the direction they're going in. I don't like it.
Originally posted by T.i.O a B.m.FYeah I think Batista/Flair will drop the tag belts to RVD/Booker T before WMania. WWE could turn the Dudleyz into monster heels like they were in ECW and have them face T and RVD at Mania.
I don't know about the Dudleyz turning heel....they have too many pet moves that the fans love (Whazzup drop, 3D, tables, etc.).
Agreed. The fans haven't really bought the Dudleyz as heels since they first got over in WWE about four years ago. They have a pretty limited repetoire, and most of what they do are spots designed to get a pop as someone else has already listed. Even during their last real heel run in the Alliance they still got cheered as much as they ever did, to the point where they got de facto turned face early in 2002 because the fans just weren't biting.
Honestly, the Dudz are the last team I would give another run. They're more stale than month-old bread, and I haven't found myself asking 'hey, where are the Dudleyz' once since their post RR de-push. They've peaked; it's time to try out somebody new. Push Venis/Storm, push the Frenchies, hell even push Jindrak/Cade as bland as they may be right now. At least they're the fresh kind of bland.
I loved the Santino tribute to John Cusack-- a simple trenchcoat and boombox and I got it immediately. It was quick, to the point, then over. The crowd popping at the mention of Owen's name got to me more than the HBK speech- which was well done.
