I know Smackdown and Velocity are recorded on the same night, but I'm dying to know which is recorded first as Heat is recorded before Raw and Raw is transmitted before Heat

Dark Matches then Velocity then Smackdown.

Do you really think they could get anybody to stay around for Billy Kidman v. Bill Demott?

Their both the same. On Monday they get dark matches then HeAT then live RAW.

As for Tuesday tapings, first dark matches then Velocity then Smackdown.

The real question is why are you "dying to know"? That much concern for Velocity just scares me.

Heat is taped with RAw? So they tape it a week in advance, then show it? oh, good to know. Hmmm, but what about when Coach and Lita talk about the previous Raw, during their show(when they are actually on camera). How does that work out? OF course they know what they are going to say, but what if something doesn't go as planned, and that commentary is already there?

I'm confused...

Editting. It's all about editting. If something goes wrong, the edit it out. That simple.

Or sometimes, they (Coach and Lita) just sit there during the match live and say nothing. And commentary is added in post production later on. I remember back when I was at RAW last September, it didn't look like D'Lo and Coach were saying much during the Heat matches.

During the matches Coach and Lita (worst team in WWE) just sit and do nothing during the match. Later in the week the go to WWE studios and do commentary on the match. When they are on camera they have scripts to go by to tell them what to talk about.

Often during that opening Heat segment, when they are actually on camera, they don't actually say anything of any significance. Like for the last Heat, I can imagine them saying "Goldberg showed up, and he made quite an impact!" which really doesn't tell anything except the most general of facts.

Yea Cat and Matthews are bad. But i still have to say they are better than COach and Lita. Come to think about it, after seeing RAW, any team wiht Coach is bad. Coach needs to stick to those free for all things before the WWE ppvs on the ppv channels, if they do those anymore.

Hey, reindeer: ever read a SmackDown/Velocity arena report? I can't help but think you would have been able to figure this out on your own if you cared enough to try...

This is tougher...

If you pay real close attention what they say (as opposed to what they hint at), they make sure to talk in generalities and leave out any details. Like, Lita and Coach will talk about "the Rock had a busy Monday", but they won't say exactly that Rock was interrupted by Goldberg and such. They leave plenty of room so that their opening can go in whatever direction they need it to go later.

And if something dramatically changes between that part of Heat/Velocity and what happens on RAW/SmackDown, they can just not show the announcers - they used to do that all the time on Jakked/Shotgun when they either hadn't clued someone in or the announcers just didn't feel like going out to the desk.

Both the weekend shows don't bother to do annoucing during the matches (which creates for odd shots when the announce desk shows up on camera during the match, and we're hearing their voice but not seeing their mouths move), because the focus of the commentary is to push those angles from the A-Shows and the details might change anyway.
