Since I'm not involved in the actual meal cooking at my friend's house this year I'm attempting lemon surprise cupcakes. I'm making lemon cupcakes and then using a pastry bag to put lemon pudding in the middle before frosting them. Depending on how adventurous I feel by the time I actually get around to it, they may or may not look like baby chicks on top when I'm finished.
My daughter has knee surgery Thursday. If it goes well, a nicely roasted leg of lamb. If it doesn't and she is a little more out of commission, then we will do the ham thing.
It'll be the traditional ham for us this year done in a fairly modified version of Alton Brown's City Ham (foodnetwork.com) recipe along with cheesy mashed redskin potatoes, deviled eggs, broccoli salad, some sort of an antipasto tray, assorted other things that I'm sure I'm forgetting, and my wife's toffee-caramel ice cream pie for dessert.

I'm sorry, the way you phrased that it seemed initially like the leg of lamb was the product of the knee surgery...
I'm not trying to be insensitive (I hope it all goes well).
I have to decide if I'm going back to visit my parents or not. The thing is, my parents take care of my great-uncle, who is 70, nearly blind, and diabetic. And he likes Chinese food. So for Easter, they always go out for Chinese. So I have to decide if I want to do that or not.
Otherwise, I'll just stay at home and do nothing special. I'm not a big fan of holidays, really.

Annual family potluck, baby. I may or may not make something. Being a broke, single college student, I may just piggyback on whatever Moms makes. If I do anything, it'll be baked beans I'm sure.

Thanks Guru, I haven't laughed that hard in weeks. I think I should read what I write a little more closely.
Since Easter also happens to be my birthday this year, I get to pick. So, my wife is making me her homemade lasagna, which is clogging my arteries just thinking about it.
