| #1 Posted on 10.1.03 1125.21 | This is what I assume is going to happen at the royal rumble... Brock defeats Big Show. Brock wins the royal rumble to go around the no rematch clause that Heyman has set up. I've mentioned in another thread they could also put that stipulation in the big show vs Brock match. Where does this leave Jericho who will be made to look like a loser compared to a has-been like HBK? He can't even do what that broken down loser HBK did. Will Jericho's crazy because I lost character from WCW resurface? The one thing I think may happen if he doesn't win the rumble is jericho goes nuts and ends HBK's career in a match at No Way Out. I'm worried that Jericho will look like a sucka if he doesn't win the rumble all because of that loud mouth HBK! Anyway... Comments? Questions?

That would drive Jericho nuts, and set up a match for No Way Out (or possibly WrestleMania).

Michaels + Montreal=Mysterious Religious Retreat Coincidentally scheduled for that weekend. There is a better chance of Dingbat Warrior winning a Nobel Prize in Literature than there is in HBK going to Montreal.

No freaking way. No Way Out's in MONTREAL? Well, there's only one question left here.

Maybe at No Way Out have the Booker/Jericho PPV singles match I`ve been waiting for in their ongoing quasi-feud?

I forgot NWO was in Montreal too.
I suspect if they try and do a replay of Survivor Series '97 (it was 97?) with Jericho and Michaels it may not be pretty. I prefer Jericho ending Michaels career "cleanly" over that alternative screw job finish. I wonder if HBK wants to go out that way though? I don't think I would but wouldn't that be like Bret Hart. | sentonBOMB

i'm not so sure that would be a good idea, since it would either seem like it was out of nowhere, since they seemingly abandoned that angle, or it would take away from the michaels-jericho feud. | Dagent913

| #10 Posted on 10.1.03 1343.45 | I still think that Jericho vs. HBK is Raw's best matchup for their WM main event. Now of course we all think Lesnar is going to win the Rumble to get his title shot. So I think the likely scenario is Jericho taking the number one spot and getting eliminated towards the end by HBK like already mentioned. Which will lead to a HBK/Jericho match at WM, but Jericho wins the title before then, maybe at No Way Out. The only problem is then he has to either beat HHH or Steiner which I don't think either would be very happy about.

| #11 Posted on 10.1.03 1353.22 | I think it's a fact that Shawn won't be doing No Way Out. He can't handle it. If they did do it, I think they'd have to have Shawn & a partner (RVD?) against Jericho and Christian. Shawn and Jericho is a Wrestlemania level contest and they're saving it for Seattle.
I also would like to see Jericho do the Flair thing, go the whole hour, which is not the same as the Diesel push since that can still happen as long as Jericho bails and hides under the ring when Batista or whoever gets in there, and then get cheaply eliminated by Shawn or even have Shawn and Y2J take each other out over the top rope and then brawl all the way to the back. While the Rumble continues, keep cutting back to Shawn and Chris pounding the crap out of each other backstage with a dozen refs trying to separate them.
Then do it at Mania and hope Jesus will visit Shawn in a dream and ask him to job.

Didn't both Y2J and HBK say they would volunteer to enter as #1 and #2? That could be a cool sub-plot running all the way through the Rumble match.
Oh BTW...
You know how Net reporters love to do the "word association thing" at the end of their interviews, i.e. "Okay Steiner, I'll say three words and you tell me the first thing that comes to mind?"
When I saw the title of this thread, the first thing (truly) that came to mind was "KILLING HIM."

| #13 Posted on 10.1.03 1355.50 | For once, Shawn's injured back is doing us some good. It's forcing the WWE writers to do a real long build for the Shawn/Jericho match instead of just rushing it with quickie angles for the next PPV.
I think they should conclude the redoing of the Montreal angle at No Way Out. Shawn is the ref for a match, Vince tries to do the screwjob finish but Shawn REFUSES to call for the bell and takes out Vince. And that's the last time we ever revisit that overused finish. | Texas Kelly

BRILLIANT... do a Booker/Jericho match for a WM title shot, have Vince (or Uncle Eric, doesn't matter) openly favor Jericho in the month leading up to the match (and for Eric, wouldn't *that* be PCKB...) then have Vince/Eric TRY to pull the screwjob but have guest ref Shawn overturn it to piss Jericho off, Booker beats Jericho cleanly. It just works.
So of course, they won't do it.

Well Jericho and Booker have been facing off in tag matches for the past few months. And see above for a way to keep HBK in the mix.
